Courtesy of Hook It

Solana Beach, Calif. – Hookit, a digital platform created to support athletes, brands and sports, announces the launch of its 2015 rider support season platform, a one-stop destination for riders to track progression, get exposure and earn deals on products.

Traditionally, sponsorship season begins as the race season wraps up when riders have fresh results and accomplishments heading into the off-season.  Support levels and agreements vary by company, but can range anywhere from product discounts to free products and beyond (based on talent and marketability).

Hookit provides riders and brands a connection point, support management tools and resources to obtain their goals.  With an all-new rider profile, automated race results and no hidden fees, Hookit continues to innovate and improve for riders and brands alike.

Brands can effectively build their grass roots program while supporting the core of motocross. Also included is access to deep data and analytic tools designed to increase sales and drive business strategy. With access to the largest audience of verified racers, brands can better discover, manage and maximize their rider support programs.

“The explosion of the social media movement continues to reflect how athletes and brands will interact and connect with their fans and consumers to provide value for each other,” said Scott Tilton CEO of Hookit.  The athletes that have mastered the sport of social are better connected to their fans adding huge value to the brands they represent.  The Hookit Score allows this intersection of brands and athletes from across the globe to quantify and reach their goals.”

Hookit started in motocross in 2001. It is the original, most powerful and progressive digital platform ever created to support athletes, brands and sports. The new Hookit Score helps riders see where they stack up against their competition and earn recognition and deals from brands who offer rider support to their most loyal and talented riders.

Cole Seely signs with American Honda

Courtesy of  American Honda

Torrance, Calif. (Aug. 25): American Honda Motor Corp., Inc. announced today that it has signed Cole Seely to its factory supercross/motocross team with a multiyear contract. As a member of the Troy Lee Designs Honda satellite squad, Seely this year finished a close second in the AMA Supercross series’ 250 West title chase and also performed well during three appearances as a substitute rider on Team Honda Muscle Milk in the premier class. Now Seely will campaign a Honda CRF450R alongside Trey Canard in the AMA Supercross and AMA Pro Motocross championships.
“I’m really excited to be with the Honda team,” Seely said. “We’ve worked together in the past, and we have great chemistry together. It’s my dream team, and it’s nice to officially be a part of it now. I really like the CRF450R too, ever since they introduced the new chassis. The geometry is great, and I think I fit it well. I know what I’m getting into, and I think it’s going to come down to preparation during the pre-season and getting the bike dialed in right for when Anaheim 1 comes around. Fortunately, I have a great group of guys to help with that.” A natural supercross rider with a fluid riding style, Seely has also made progress in the outdoor setting, finishing the 2014 AMA Pro Motocross season well inside the top ten in the 250 points for the first time.

“We’re excited to welcome Cole into Honda’s factory team,” said Ray Conway, Director of Racing at American Honda. “While racing a CRF250R with Troy Lee Designs Honda, he has shown that he is a talented rider, and he performed well at the top level while willingly stepping in to help out our factory team this year. He has a solid base and it’s great that he’ll be staying with Honda as he makes this next important step in his career.”

Cole Seely’s background as an amateur BMX and motocross racer prepared him well for when he turned pro in 2009, and he signed for Troy Lee Designs Honda for the following season. In 2011, Seely tallied a pair of supercross victories, both in the 250 West class. He added another the following year, and 2013 saw him finish third in the series points standings. This past season is when the Californian came into his own, notching a pair of 250SX West wins and challenging for the class title up until the final round before eventually settling for second. Since 2011, Cole has also occasionally pitched in as a substitute 450 rider for the factory Honda team, and he scored a podium finish in the premier class at Indianapolis this year.

American Honda Motor Co., Inc. was established in 1959 and is the sole distributor of Honda motorcycles, scooters, ATVs and side-by-sides in the U.S. The American Honda Motorcycle Division is responsible for the sales, marketing, and operational activities for these products through authorized Honda dealers. For more information on Honda products, go to www.powersports.honda.com.

Seely Signs Multi-year Deal with TLD for Racewear

Courtesy of Troy Lee Designs

"I just want to thank Cole for all the years he's been with us," said Troy Lee. "He has been instrumental in giving our team credibility and helping us develop products. I'm glad we are still going to support him with helmets, gear and protection, especially since he's had such a hand in making it what it is today. He's always been a pleasure to work with, and I know he's got big things ahead of him!"
Cole Seely got his big break in the sport of motocross in 2010 when Troy Lee took a shot on the skinny teenager from Newbury Park and welcomed him to the Troy Lee Designs / Lucas Oil / Honda Team. Since then, Cole has blossomed into one of the best riders in the sport today.

Seely scored his first 250 class podium in 2010 at the San Diego Supercross. The following year he continued to improve and he earned his, and the team's, first win at Dodger Stadium. He continued to grow as a rider and grow with the Troy Lee Designs Race Team amassing five 250 class Supercross wins during his career, and emerging as a title contender in the sport. It has been an honor and a privilege for everyone at Troy Lee Designs to work with Cole and join in on the fun as his career has developed. Cole is a great representative for the sport and the Troy Lee Designs brand.

Courtesy of Monster Energy / Pro Circuit/ Kawasaki

Irvine, Calif. – Following a successful final year competing against the top amateur riders in the nation, Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green’s Chris Alldredge will make the transition to the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki squad for the remainder of the 2014 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship. Alldredge has been the top rider in the A class this season collecting wins and championships at all of the major amateur national championships.

“I’m so honored to have this opportunity with Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki,” said Alldredge. “I was welcomed into the Team Green family this year and feel like I’ve really found a home. Working closely with Pro Circuit this year, I knew that’s where I wanted to be and I am really excited to work with the best in the business.”

Alldredge’s success with Team Green gained Mitch Payton’s attention and he knew he wanted to keep him with Kawasaki. Alldredge joins a long list of amateurs to graduate from Team Green on to the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki team such as Ricky Carmichael, Ryan Villopoto, Dean Wilson, Adam Cianciarulo, and Justin Hill.

“Alldredge has really shown a lot of promise,” said Payton. “He has all the key elements to transition into his pro career and be a player from the get-go. He knows the equipment and we expect him to pick up in the 250 class where he left off as an amateur.”

Alldredge will make his professional debut with the team at Unadilla in New Berlin, New York on August 9 running the No. 188 on his 2015 KX™250F.

CycleTrader.com/Rock River/Yamaha Signs Amateur National Champion Luke Renzland

Courtesy of Cycle Trader / Rock River

Photos By Martha Farmer
Johnson Creek, WI (August 5, 2014) – CycleTrader.com/Rock River/Yamaha is proud to announce the addition of Luke Renzland to the team. The 19-year-old New Jersey native capped off his amateur career this past week with a solid performance at the 2014 Amateur National Championships at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch. He took home the 450 A Class title with 3-1-1 finishes, and went 4-2-2 for 2nd overall in 250 A Class. A long time Yamaha supported rider, Renzland was a part of the Horton Racing/Cycle Trader Rock River Yamaha amateur program in 2014. With three rounds remaining in the 2014 Lucas Oil/AMA Pro National series, Renzland will make his professional debut in the 250 Class at Unadilla this Saturday, August 9. We are excited to have him on board with our team, and look forward to seeing him on the gate!

Welcome to the team, Luke! You had a great week at Loretta’s! Tell us about your days at the Ranch this year. Did things go as planned for you?
Yeah, the week at Loretta’s went great. You know, I started off with a lot of confidence coming into the week, especially with getting to run the #1 plate in the 450 A Class. The week started off a little rough with a couple bad starts, having to crawl my way through the pack the first two motos of the week. But I figured that out fairly quickly, we made a few adjustments, and I came out with a lot better starts the next four motos. I ended up coming away with the championship in 450 A and took 2nd in 250 A.
With such a long week isolated at the track, how do you stay focused on racing and not get distracted by everything else going on?
You know, my family has always made it clear to me that Loretta’s is a big deal. It costs a lot of money to just to go and my whole family supports me down there. There’s no reason to be throwing it away by hanging out in the creek and all that stuff, blowing all your energy before the races. I just hang out under my tent, back at the camper with my family. Just staying cool and hydrated, and keeping focus on what I’m there to do.

Your Dreamland compound in Florida has been well-documented over the last couple years, and it looks unreal. What is it like having such an incredible facility to do your training at?
Living at Dreamland is awesome. It’s literally a dream come true to have my own facility and track to get all of my training done. Jason Baker from Dream Traxx did an awesome job building the place, and it’s one of the best tracks for training. It gets rough, and rutted, and bumpy, but it also has the huge jumps, as everyone has seen on all of the videos, to get in some fun while you’re doing long motos. It’s been a great place to get prepared for Loretta’s and the Nationals, with all the different types of terrain and I have Mike down there as my riding partner. We stay focused and get our work done, while having a lot of fun as well.
What are your expectations going into your professional debut at Unadilla?
Coming into Unadilla, my main focus is to take all of the pressure off of myself and have fun, enjoy my pro debut at my home track up here. I know that I have a lot of fans coming from my hometown, and all my family is going to be there. I’m really excited to have my debut at such a personally special and legendary track. But yeah, like I said, I just want to keep the pressure off and my goal as far as results go [is] top 15 in both motos. But I’m not putting too much into that; I just want to be strong and consistent and finish both motos, and build experience for Indiana and Utah.

For more up to date information, follow CycleTrader.com/Rock River Yamaha on Instagram @cycletraderrockriver, as well as Luke’s personal account @lukerenzland43.
