Mega Series, PAMX, AMA Pro-Am Triple Sanction and Contingency for Steel City National Weekend Sept 3-5
Morgantown, WV (August 23, 2010) - Bellco and MX Sports, in association with Victory Sports, the PAMX and the AMA Fall Classic Series, announce a massive triple-sanction weekend packed with contingencies during the Steel City Raceway Pro National from Sept 3 - 5. On Friday, Sept. 3, riders can compete for PAMX Grand Championship Series points. On Sunday, Sept. 5, the Thor Mega Series presented by Dunlop rolls into town, paying points alongside the PAMX Fly Racing State Championship Series presented by Western Powerports and the Fall Classic Series, which pays AMA Pro-Am points and features a $3000 purse. And in between, the best riders in the world compete on Saturday, Sept. 4, in round 11 of the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship."This is going to be an amazing weekend, we expect great weather and we know we're going to get great racing," says Sam Gammon of Victory Sports. "With Mega Series points, we'll see some of the fastest riders coming from the south, and with PAMX points, we'll see the fastest riders from the North. And there's Pro-Am points, too, as well as a real chance to race on the exact same national track as the pros."
"We're really excited about triple sanctioning with these great series," says Tim Cotter of Bellco and MX Sports. "And this is a rare opportunity to race on the same track riders like Dungey, Short, Pourcel, Canard, Fiolek and Patterson will race on during the weekend. Race hard on Friday, watch some great racing on Saturday, then race again yourself on Sunday!"
Sunday's race will pay contingency from Kawasaki, Honda, Suzuki and Yamaha, as well as points in the Thor Mega Series presented by Dunlop, the PAMX Fly Racing Pennsylvania State Championship Series presented by Western Powersports, and the AMA Pro-Am and Two-Stroke MX tours.
