JASON ANDERSON CLAIMS CHAMPIONSHIP IN LAS VEGAS SUPERCROSS FINALE
Carlsbad, CA (May 5th, 2014) - Supercross
titles aren't easy to win. Putting together a winning season takes an
incredible amount of discipline, hard work, determination and a bit of
luck. For 21 year-old Jason Anderson those things all came together
Saturday night in Las Vegas as the New Mexico native clinched his first
major professional championship. Standing on the podium with his number
one plate Anderson admitted that it didn't come without it's challenges.
Just ten days before the series finale Anderson crashed during a
practice session and injured his ribs and lung. For a time he wasn't
sure he would be able to ride well enough to get the job done at the
final round. But when the chips were on the table for the final main
event of the season Jason gritted out a finish that kept him on top of
the point standings for 2014.
"It's been an amazing season and I can't even put in to words how great this feels," said Anderson of his championship. "I am really lucky to have some amazing people and companies behind me supporting my career. Without all of them in my corner there's no way I could have made this happen." |
