PITTSBURGH 360fly, Inc., the category creator in 360-degree digital video products, announced professional motocross rider Chad Reed as its newest brand ambassador. The relationship provides Reed with exclusive early access to 360-degree filming capabilities, while providing 360fly with compelling content from one of the world’s most decorated and respected motocross athletes. Reed joins a growing 360fly athlete roster that includes Flatland BMX rider Terry Adams, Freestyle Skier Simon Dumont and Surfer Carissa Moore.

Reed, a global motocross star and champion in both Monster Energy Supercross and the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, has been competing since mountable cameras first entered the sport. After years of utilizing the incumbent industry-leading products, Reed was instantly blown away with 360fly’s interactive 360-degree video and game-changing mobile capabilities.

“Before 360fly, there were only single point-of-view cameras available. And after years of using a variety of models, I’ve found they just can’t compare to 360fly’s all-seeing single lens.” said Reed. “360fly opens the door to a whole new world of possibilities. The innovative quality of its interactive 360-degree video goes without saying. But what may be even more powerful is the fact that editing and sharing is completely mobile. You don’t have to get to a computer to download, edit and share the footage. That for me is a total game changer.”

In 2003, the Australian rider took supercross on by storm by winning his 450 debut against the greatest of all time, Ricky Carmichael. He’s captured AMA Supercross championships in 2004 and 2008, while also earning the AMA Motocross title in 2009.

“It goes without saying that Chad is an unbelievable athlete, but he also brings a high level of vision and savvy when it comes to action cameras,” said Peter Adderton, CEO of 360fly. “Beyond the world-class rider is a true family man. Chad’s family-oriented lifestyle aligns with our brand as a general lifestyle camera allowing anyone and everyone to capture life’s greatest moments in 360 degrees. We couldn’t be more excited to see what he captures with the camera.”

In addition to his on-going efforts to develop content, Reed will actively promote 360fly in a variety of ways including public appearances, media interviews, social media activity, and showcasing the brand logo in competition.
