The Parts Unlimited
Unadilla GNCC, Rounds 10, took place this past weekend in Unadilla, NY. Track
conditions were really rough, slick in some areas, and perfect in others,
caused from early morning showers. The clouds eventually cleared allowing the
sun to come out which had race time temperatures in the lows 80’s.
Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing's Josh Strang bolted off the line and
claimed a holeshot. He held his lead for the first few miles of the race before
encountering other riders. He was locked in an intense battled for most of the
race where he was going back and forth for second place. With one lap left in
the eight lap race, Strang made the pass for 2nd and was able to hold his
position until the finish. Josh Strang finished the race in 2nd for the XC1 Pro
Class; a great way to come back from the summer break.
"The race went well.
Not the result we were after, but still a solid finish. I struggled a little
throughout the race, so a 2nd place finish isn't bad, i just want more. The
whole team did great and it was good to get back to racing!" Said Josh Strang.
Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing's Andrew DeLong did not participate in
this round due to a previously sustained injury.
