San Bernardino, Calif. – As Glen Helen Raceway revs up for its 2017 FMF Nationals, the Road2Recovery Legends of the Road – David Bailey, Doug Henry, Jeff Ward and Micky Dymond – are preparing for their own competition: the 2017 Race Across America (RAAM), which will take them more than 3,000 miles from Oceanside, Calif. to Annapolis, Md. over the course of six to eight days starting June 17. The Legends will be onsite at Glen Helen to share their story and support Road2Recovery during two key events this weekend:

Thursday, May 25, 5 p.m.
Meet the Legends before the screening of On Any Sunday, the 1972 Academy Award-nominated motorcycle sports documentary starring Steve McQueen. Bailey, Henry, Ward, and Dymond will host a Q&A and sign limited run Legends of the Road posters, for sale at the screening, with food generously donated by Jimmy John’s Gourmet Sandwiches.

Saturday, May 27, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Stop by the Road2Recovery booth at FMF Nationals for an autograph signing with the Legends from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., with custom Legends shirts and posters sold at the booth all day.
Just three weeks later, the Legends will depart from Oceanside Pier as RAAM kicks off. The team will cycle across the country in a race against time, traversing major climate changes as they pass three major mountain ranges (Sierra, Rocky, and Appalachian), cross four of America’s longest rivers (Colorado, Mississippi, Missouri and Ohio) and pass through the Mojave Desert, Sonoran Deserts, Monument Valley and the Great Plains, in a test of mental and physical stamina like no other.
