FARREN RACING AT MINI O’s for SOWF
19
November through 26 November the Farren Racing Team “Farren P2R” will
be at the Mini O’s Motocross Event in Alachua, Florida.
The
Racing team will be competing and bringing attention to the needs of
other children whose parents paid the supreme sacrifice for our freedom
and the opportunity to participate in events in which some children in
other parts of the world cannot.
SOWF
has received a four star rating from Charity Navigator for six years in
a row. Their dedication to the future needs to children of our fallen
special operations forces has been consistent since its formation
following the tragedy of the Desert One effort to rescue the American
Hostages from Iran. For over thirty years SOWF has been providing
education and also funds for families of warriors who have catastrophic
injuries from IED’s so that these families can visit and spend time
with their loved ones as they come back to the United States for
treatment.
There
are several ways in which we will be bringing attention to the needs of
the children of our fallen special operations warriors.
There
will be a pavilion tent in which the Sikorsky “Tribute Motorcycle”
built by Orange County Choppers will be on display along with the flags
of our five branches of military service with the MIA/POW and 9/11
Tribute flag will be adjacent to “Old Glory”. There will be T-shirts on
sale with all proceeds to go Special Operations Warrior Foundation.
T-Shirts
will be on sale for $ 20.00 each with all proceeds going to SOWF. The
sizes will be S thru XXL on a first come available basis.
Donations
to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation will be accepted at the
Pavilion Tent. In addition to supplying the Sikorsky “Tribute
Motorcycle” Sikorsky Aircraft has donated numerous posters and other
items, which will be given away during the week- long event. In
addition at the end of end of each day a helicopter model will be given
away to one lucky attendee to the pavilion with the receipt of their
donation ticket.
Our
sincere thanks to Wyn Kern and Unlimited Sports MX for their
contribution of space, assistance in making this fund raising effort
possible.
Farren
Racing, Farren P2R, are subsidiaries of H.W. Farren Co. a leader in the
transportation of aircraft, airframes, engines for the Aerospace

Renegade Fuels with Trackside Support for the Mini O's
Renegade Fuels will be trackside for the2011 Mini O's held in Gainesville Fl. The same fuel that many of the top pro teams and riders rely on will be available to riders trackside. The Renegade Pro-Moto Line has become the benchmark in Motocross and Supercross industry today. Teams like Geico Factory Connection Honda, Star Yamaha, Factory Suzuki, Team Suzuki City, JDR KTM, Rockstar Suzuki, Rock River Yamaha, and Monster Energy Leading Edge Kawasaki made the instant change to our fuel which was brand new to the market in 2010. After 2 years of R&D with feedback from several top supercross, motocross, road racing teams & engine builders Renegade releases this fuel to the public! We use some of the most exotic materials sourced from Europe, Asia and North America to make a AMA Supercross and Motocross legal fuel that not only makes power but it has also shown to be very stable in high heat applications when other fuels have failed. Don't be fooled by the fancy marketing by other brands, SX4+ is for the serious racer that demands serious results!
Renegade has continued to push the chemical technology and development of new fuels which has forced our other competitors to try and step up the development of their fuels. They have set back and on their hands for some time now and relied on one fuel to be standard of AMA Pro MX and SX. We have now set a new standard that has been unmatched by several attempts to produce a fuel that outperforms the SX4Plus on the dyno, the track, and real world racing conditions. Our competitors have come close in one area only to fall way short in another. It is extremely important to all of us here at Renegade that our fuels provide the added horsepower that riders and teams are looking for but also remain stable in extreme heat, or real world racing conditions.
Renegade has also dedicated our program to do more than just help bring value to our customers with our products but also to help with community needs around the US and the world. Plain and simple, we're interested in our customers becoming a partner with the Renegade brand. Munn Racing Signs Vincent and Hackley for 2012
Courtesy of Munn Racing
Munn Racing KTM of Elm Mott, Texas, is expanding our vision and taking the racing program to a new level of commitment for 2012 and beyond. Munn Racing KTM has formed a strong alliance with Moto Innovations which shares in our commitment to excellence and success. This new relationship is paramount in helping achieve our immediate and long term goals.
“We are very excited to be partnering with such a premium name in the motorcycle industry. Munn Racing KTM is a great fit with Moto Innovations as we share the same vision of winning races,” says Tom Crain, owner of Moto Innovations and inventor of Ankle Savers®. Moto Innovations designs, manufactures and distributes the Ankle Savers® foot pegs and has been involved in both amateur and professional racing for years.
Team owner Chip Munn is honored to officially announce Lance Vincent and Sean Hackley, Jr. to our 2012 team. Our riders will be contesting both the AMA Supercross Lites Championship and AMA Pro Motocross 250cc National Championship Series aboard KTM 250SXF race machines.
"Munn Racing KTM and Moto Innovations are focused on building a really solid team with strong alliances. The timing is right to step up and make a bold statement and signing Lance Vincent is that statement," said Chip Munn. "Vincent is fast, talented and motivated; a very hot property and serious threat to podium or win every time the gate drops." Vincent finished 8th overall in the AMA East Supercross Lites in 2011 and looks to exceed that mark this season. Sean Hackley, Jr. is a tough competitor and is not afraid to let it all hang out. Sean has shown prowess as the next superstar, but due to set backs and injuries has not yet emerged. We believe in Sean and he will make his mark like never before.
Signing these diamonds in the rough gives us the opportunity to really distinguish Munn Racing Moto Innovations KTM to be a serious threat for the AMA Monster Energy Supercross Lites title in 2012.
“We are excited for the upcoming 2012 AMA Monster Energy Supercross season,” said Chip Munn. “The KTM 250SXF has a powerful history and with EBR Performance taking the helm in our motor and suspension department we are confident we can get out front and stay there".

Les Smith Joins Ohins Racing for 2012
Courtesy of Ohlins Racing
Hendersonville, North Carolina: Öhlins USA is proud to announce the signing of Les Smith to Team Öhlins USA, for the 2012 Monster Energy AMA Supercross and Lucas Oil AMA Motocross series. Smith will be competing in the Lites class on a Honda CRF250. A 21-year-old native of York, South Carolina, Smith is a three-time amateur champion at Loretta Lynn’s and will now be racing on the Öhlins gold and running number 46, under the leadership of Team Öhlins USA manger, Grant Langston.
About joining the team, Smith said, “They look to have a really good program so I’m excited to be a part of it. Last year I had five top ten finishes in the SX Lites class, and I hope to improve on that. To stay in shape I practice four to five days a week. I’ve got a brand new Supercross track I’m using today. Plus, I’m focusing on my overall fitness this year as well. I have a local trainer helping me out so I’m putting in over time.”
Smith, who’s been riding since he was four-years-old and racing since he was six, added, “My father rode when he was younger and he got me a dirt bike for Christmas. After that a neighbor suggested I start racing, so we all went racing. My first races were at a super-sandy track and my dad pretty much was pushing me around the track all day. I was ready to go home but then a guy told us if I did one more race I’d get a trophy. So I did. I still have that trophy at my bedside. It says, ‘Participant.’
“As I got older I started really enjoying it. Both my dad, Marty, and my mom, Sue Ellen, were involved. Racing became what our family does. Every weekend we go to the track.”
Motocross champion Grant Langston, Team Manager of Team Öhlins USA, said, “I’ve been in touch with Les for a while and he’s a definite player. He’s serious and has a great attitude and it all shows in how he rides. So we’re looking forward to an exciting year with him. There’s a lot of potential in what we’re doing combined with his riding abilities.”
Öhlins USA Off Road Manager, Stacey Berger, said, “We’re excited to have Les signed. It took a little time to get everything sorted but once he rode a bike with our suspension I think the decision was easy for him to make. We look forward to big things from him this year.”
Öhlins USA distributes and services the world’s leading performance suspension for automobiles, motorcycles, ATVs, and snowmobiles. Öhlins develops its proprietary and innovative suspension components at the highest levels of racing from open-wheel car racing, to Moto GP, to off-road competition on two and four wheels. Öhlins USA also provides training for service centers and dealers. www.Ohlinsusa.com.

MURRIETA, Calif. – After celebrating more success and championships than any other off-road racing team during the 2011 season, the Factory FMF/KTM Racing Team is excited to announce its 2012 factory rider line-up will remain unchanged for the new season.
The team will feature reigning AMA National Enduro Champion Russell Bobbitt; reigning AMA National Hare & Hound Champion Kurt Caselli; current GNCC XC1 points leader Charlie Mullins; former 125cc Motocross National Champion Mike Brown; 2-time GNCC XC2 Lites Champion Kailub Russell and multi-time amateur GNCC Champion Cory Buttrick.
Three-time AMA National Enduro Champion Russell Bobbitt will contest the 2012 AMA National Enduro Series to defend his crown against teammates Charlie Mullins, Cory Buttrick and the rest of the field. Mullins and Buttrick will also compete in the 2012 GNCC Series along with Kailub Russell.
Mullins, finished 2nd overall in the AMA National Enduro Series in 2011 and is well on his way to earning his first GNCC XC1 class championship at this weekend’s GNCC finale at Lorretta Lynn’s ranch. His teammate, Cory Buttrick, landed on the podium this season before suffering a bad crash halfway through the series which left him out for the majority of the races and dropped his ranking in the overall point standings. Buttrick is hoping to end his season with a podium at the Loretta’s event and come back swinging next year as he contests both the National Enduro and GNCC Series championships.
Russell, the final member of the east coast squad, will return for his second year in the XC1 GNCC class. Russell earned his first GNCC XC1 race win in his rookie season this year at the Powerline Park GNCC and is looking to earn more victories in 2012. In addition to racing the GNCC Series, Russell also intends to head west to compete in select WORCS events.
The Factory FMF/KTM Team has chosen Mike Brown as the lead rider in the WORCS Series. Brown, the 2009 WORCS Champion, is currently sitting 2nd overall in the 2011 points chase and is looking to close in on his teammate at the final round. In addition to his WORCS effort, Brown will also return to race the 2012 AMA EnduroCross Series.
Joining Brown on the west coast is 8-time ISDE Top American, Kurt Caselli. Earlier this year, Caselli wrapped up his first career AMA National Hare & Hound Championship title. Caselli is also leading the WORCS Championship and is hoping to win the title at this weekend’s finale. For 2012, Caselli will return to the Hare & Hound Series to defend his title but will withdrawal from the WORCS in order to focus on a new goal: the Baja/SCORE Series. Caselli and his teammates plan to compete in all SCORE events next year in order to build toward the main goal of winning the Baja 1000.
“We are very excited to have all of our riders return for the 2012 season. We have had a tremendous year thanks to the hard work of our team and the talent and determination of our riders to continue to claim the top spot on the box each event. I couldn’t be happier as a team manager than I have been this year,” remarked Factory FMF/KTM Team Manager Antti Kallonen. “In just two weeks time, we will know the outcome of all remaining championships, and if the cards fall our way, KTM will have made history for the second time by sweeping all major national off-road championship series titles.
