In an anniversary year for X Games, ESPN will celebrate with 200 athletes and welcome the biggest names in action sports as well as debut two new disciplines at X Games 15 – Skateboard Big Air Rail Jam and Skateboard Park Legends. Fox athletes invited so far are: BMX Park: Brian Foster, Chase Hawk; BMX Street: Aaron Ross, Sean Sexton; MX Freestyle: Mike Mason, Adam Jones; and many more (fingers crossed!) to be invited on the next wave.

The 15th annual action sports competition will be held in Los Angeles July 30 – Aug. 2, 2009 at STAPLES Center and The Home Depot Center, and will feature the world’s best athletes competing in: BMX Freestyle, Moto X, Skateboard and Rally Car Racing.

We are giving you the first opportunity to purchase tickets before they go on sale to the public.
At STAPLES Center, BMX and Skateboard Big Air, Moto X Best Trick and Step Up will be featured.

The Home Depot Center will house X Fest, the ultimate action sports festival featuring sponsor & industry booths, interactive parks, athlete appearances and demos. Competitions held at The Home Depot Center will include BMX and Skateboard Vert, Moto X Men’s and Women’s Super X, Moto X Freestyle, Moto X SuperMoto, Skateboard and BMX Park and Rally Car Racing.


Live X Games programming on ESPN, ESPN2 and ABC – all showcased in high definition – will air July 30 – August 2. ESPN International, ESPN Deportes, ESPN.com/Action.com, ESPN360.com, SportsCenter and ESPN2’s X Center will also provide coverage.

Tickets for X Games 15 go on sale to the public via Ticketmaster on June 25. You have a pre-sale opportunity to purchase tickets beginning June 18 at 10 a.m. PT.
