US Motocross Lites Series: 4th round Mt. Morris, PA Searle Earns 3rd Overall at High Point.

Press Release from www.ktmpress.com

Muscle Milk/MDK/KTM rider Tommy Searle earned his first overall podium at the fourth round of the Lucas Oil Motocross Series at High Point Raceway.

Searle had great starts in both 250 Motocross class motos. Searle was 4th off the start of the first gate drop. He made the pass on Tyla Rattray for 3rd on lap 3 and maintained the position until Ryan Dungey got by him on the next lap. Searle held on to finish 4th.

As the gate dropped for moto two, Searle was again in the top five around the first turn. On lap 6 he passed Justin Barcia for 4th where he stayed for the majority of the race. With two laps to go, Canard made a mistake which allowed Searle to inherit 3rd. His 4-3 finishes awarded him 3rd overall for the day. His teammate, Wil Hahn, had a decent first moto with an 11th place finish. In the second moto he started 20th and charged his way forward to finish 13th.

Jagermeister/MDK/KTM rider Justin Brayton proved his training is paying off as he put in an impressive charge in both motos to push through the pack and salvage points. His first moto resulted in a second corner crash and was followed up with another crash on lap 3. When he crossed the finish line on the third lap he was in 34th position. He prevailed and went to work on passing riders as quickly and efficiently as he could. By the end of the race he had put in a remarkable ride to finish 13th.

In moto two, Brayton started mid-pack and worked his way into the top ten within the first ten minutes of the race. After passing Nick Wey, Jeff Alessi and Gavin Gracyk he found himself in 7th position which is where he finished. His 13-7 finishes earned him 9th overall. Wonder Warthog/KTM rider Justin Sipes raced aboard his KTM 450 SX-F and finished 14-12 for the day for his career best finish of 12th overall.
