Celebrates its 28th Year August 2-7, 2010



Morgantown, W.Va. (October 7, 2009) - MX Sports is proud to announce that the 28th annual AMA Amateur National Motocross Championships will be held August 2-7, 2010 at the legendary Loretta Lynn Ranch in Hurricane Mills, TN.  Coined the "World's Greatest Motocross Vacation," the championship has been held annually since 1982.
"We're looking forward to another great week of national caliber racing and family fun next August," said MX Sports Director Tim Cotter. "We're happy to return for the 28th year to the Loretta Lynn Ranch for this presitigous event."
The AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship is the premiere amateur motocross racing event in the world, as riders from all over the country and the world attempt to capture a title.  Starting in March, approximately 25,000 racers attempt to qualify in 34 classes for the 1,428 available gates at the final championship.  Riders like Ricky Carmichael, James Stewart and Ryan Villopoto have graced the Loretta Lynn Championship Roster in the past, and riders as young as 4 to over 50 will try to fulfill their dreams on storied ground.
