Courtesy of Bel-Ray

FARMINGDALE, N.J. (April 26, 2016) – Bel-Ray sponsored racers, Ken Roczen of RCH Soaring Eagle/Jimmy Johns/Suzuki Factory Racing and Martin Davalos of Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing took first place in 450SX and 250SX during the latest round of the AMA Supercross season in Foxborough, Mass., on April 23.

Ken Roczen of RCH Soaring Eagle/Jimmy Johns/Suzuki Factory Racing secured his fourth 450SX win of the season at Gillette Stadium. Roczen came into the main event with a strong performance, starting off in third place. During the first lap Roczen moved ahead to take the lead and maintained his position for the remainder of the event. He remains second in overall 450SX rider point standings.

“I feel like I’m one with the bike and that’s been the difference,” said Roczen. “We’re made great strides with the bike and everyone is working really well together. That’s what makes it fun. We’re still in this championship fight. Anything can happen. I’m really glad we came away with the win because I was tired of finishing second.”

Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing rider and Bel-Ray sponsored racer, Martin Davalos, secured his second 250SX first place finish of the season, marking the fourth win of his career. Davalos began the main event in the top ten. By the second lap, he maneuvered his way into fourth place and began the quest for third. By the eighth lap, Davalos fought his way into second place before moving on to the lead. Once he took the lead, Davalos created more and more distance between himself and the other riders, for a commanding victory. Davalos remains in fourth place in overall 250SX rider point standings.

“I stayed within my limits,” said Davalos. “I felt good throughout the moto and I’m pretty pumped with this win. I had a pretty good drive in the whoops, and knew I had to be consistent in the corner and not try to rush it. It was a great race overall. I’m super pumped on the improvements and I’m excited to go to New Jersey next week”

ROCZEN & SUZUKI WIN FOXBOROUGH SUPERCROSS

Courtesy of  Team Suzuki Press office

RCH Suzuki Factory Racing’s Ken Roczen scored his fourth victory of the 2016 Monster Energy AMA/ FIM World Supercross Championship season on Saturday at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

The Soaring Eagle/ Jimmy John’s Suzuki RM-Z450 rider needed a win to keep his title hopes alive and Roczen did exactly that, dominating Round 15. He proved his mettle throughout the day and the 21-year-old German’s RCH-prepared Suzuki RM-Z450 was easily the fastest machine across the 22-rider field, with Roczen picking-up five points to narrow the gap on series leader Ryan Dungey to 43.

“I feel like I’m one with the bike and that’s been the difference,” explained Roczen following his eighth career Monster Energy Supercross win. “We’ve made great strides with the bike and everyone is working really well together. That’s what makes it fun. We’re still in this championship fight. Anything can happen. I’m really glad we came away with the win because I was tired of finishing second. We’ve got the speed and we’re consistent every week so I’m glad to finally make it happen. The track was tricky. It was really hard-packed and had some ruts. The whoops got really rough and the ‘lappers’ were there so we had a little bit of everything.”

Unfortunately, Roczen’s RCH team-mates Broc Tickle and Jake Weimer didn’t fare quite as well: Weimer was collected on the third lap – an incident not of his own making - and was forced to retire his machine immediately. Tickle also went down on the same lap but was able to pick his bike up and solider home to finish 14th.

“It was a good night overall for RCH,” commented RCH team manager Kyle Bentley. “Any time we can come away with the win, it’s a good night. Ken had a so-so start and was able to push to the front, make a pass on the series champion (Ryan Dungey) and stretch it out. (Eli) Tomac gave us a run for our money in the middle of the race but Ken was able to pull away and come home with the victory. We’ve had the fastest bike in town the last three weeks so it’s a great feeling to come away with the win. We’ll press on to New Jersey next weekend and try and win the last two.

“Broc rode awesome. He had a mid-pack start, got caught-up in some mayhem in one of the rhythm sections but was still able to finish strong. He was happy with the motorcycle. It was an unfortunate incident for Jake Weimer; another rider cross-jumped him in one of the rhythm lanes and he didn’t have anywhere to go. Someone landed on the back of him and he got pretty beat up. We’ll evaluate his situation and hopefully he’ll be ok to race this coming weekend,” added Bentley.

Monster Energy AMA Supercross returns to East Rutherford, New Jersey this weekend when the series visits MetLife Stadium for the 16th of 17 races on the 2016 Monster Energy Supercross calendar.

BAGGETT KNOCKED-OUT OF FOXBOROUGH SUPERCROSS

Courtesy of Team Suzuki Press Office
Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Racing’s Blake Baggett had a tough outing at the weekend’s Foxborough AMA/ FIM World Supercross in New England after getting caught-up in unavoidable crashes in both the Semi and Last Chance Qualifier, which cost him any shot in making the Main Event.

Baggett started-out the day well by qualifying his Yoshimura Suzuki RM-Z450 in seventh place with a time of 1:02.906. From there he ran a solid pace in the second qualifying Heat race of the day, but came home fifth, just one position short of qualifying straight into the Main.

In his Semi, the 24-year-old Californian was en-route to qualifying when a rider crashed in front of him in a whoop section, with the bike cartwheeling sideways in front of him, leaving Baggett nowhere to go: He collided with the bike and crashed.

He then got back underway quickly, but in the short race he was only able to come back to sixth, putting him into the LCQ.

Right off the gate in the LCQ, Baggett was in the middle of the pack when he was caught-up in a multi-rider crash going into the first turn, damaging his Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Racing RM-Z450; and his day was done.

The team now moves on to New Jersey and MetLife Stadium for next weekend’s penultimate round of the series.

Ryan Dungey captures 31st consecutive podium finish at Foxborough Supercross

Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Ryan Dungey earned his 31st consecutive podium finish on Saturday with a 3rd place at Round 15 of the AMA 450SX Championship in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
Ryan Dungey KTM 450 SX-F Foxborough 2016
With rainfall throughout the night and into the morning, the track was uncharacteristically muddy for the timed qualifying sessions. Ryan Dungey prevailed through the unfavorable track conditions to earn the fastest time in qualifying aboard his KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION, while his teammate Marvin Musquin qualified in 12th.

In 450SX Heat 1, Musquin captured the holeshot and ultimately finished 4th to transfer into the Main Event. In 450SX Heat 2, Dungey shot out to grab the holeshot but the race was Red Flagged due to riders hitting the starting gate. In the restart, it was Dungey who once again captured the holeshot and the early lead. After battling back-and-forth for the first few laps, Ken Roczen took over the lead and maintained it to the end, with Dungey in 2nd and BTOSports.com KTM’s Justin Brayton in 3rd.

Main Event
In the 450SX Main Event, Dungey grabbed his third holeshot of the day and assumed the early lead before engaging in a battle with Ken Roczen. Dungey and Roczen diced back-and-forth for the lead position in the early parts of the race but Roczen soon established his pace out front.

Dungey briefly dropped into the 4th place position before making a big charge to overtake the 3rd place position with a strong pass on Jason Anderson through the whoops. From there, Dungey pushed toward Tomac in 2nd but wasn’t able to catch him before the checkers flew.

“I struggled a little bit tonight but that’s racing,Dungey said. “We knew it was a possibility to wrap up the championship tonight but it wasn’t the main goal – it would have been a bonus. We’re going to come back next weekend and give the fans a good show.”

Dungey now holds a 43-point lead over Roczen with two rounds remaining in the 450SX Championship.

Musquin ultimately finished 10th in the Main Event, where he now sits in 6th place in the Championship Standings.

Troy Lee Designs Red Bull KTM’s Shane McElrath finishes a close fourth place in Foxborough
Shane McElrath rode a heart-felt race inside Gillette Stadium as he battled with the front-runners to come across the checkered flag just shy of a podium spot in fourth. Teammate Alex Frye finished 19th after getting a start just outside the top 10.

After an off-season injury left him questionable to race at all, McElrath has shown flashes of incredible speed on his KTM 250 SX-F FACTORY EDITION as he’s continued to work his way into race shape. In Foxborough, he was battling with the leaders and despite some small mistakes, stayed with the front pack until the end, where he finished just off the podium in fourth.

“I didn’t have many expectations when I came into the season because of the injury,” said McElrath. “I always want to be battling for the win, but wasn’t sure where I was going to fit in at the start of the season. So I’m really happy that I’m up there going after the win and podium spots.”

Alex Frye started the night with a solid heat race where he finished fourth. He got a solid start in the main event, but had to overcome some misfortune, eventually claiming 19th.
The Eastern Regional riders will stay in the Northeast for another week as the team heads to MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey on April 30.

Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Martin Davalos earned an exciting victory aboard his Husqvarna FC 250 on Saturday at the 15th round of AMA Supercross, held at the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass. The win marked Davalos’ second 250 SX East victory of the season, and the fourth of his career. Teammate Jason Anderson earned a heat race win and a fourth-place finish in the 450 class. Fellow rider Christophe Pourcel sat the night out due to injury.

Martin Davalos pulled a top-five start in his heat and, after going down in the second corner and remounting in dead last, he fought all the way back to a fourth-place transfer position. In the main, Davalos started in the top-10 before navigating to the fourth-place position by the second lap. He started working hard on third, and quickly made the pass for the position in the third lap. He was on the heels of the second-place spot by lap eight, and made the pass by the end of lap before setting his sights on the leader. Despite a freight train of riders directly behind him, Davalos fought his way into the lead by the next lap and immediately started opening a gap and pulling away. He held strong to the finish and earned his second victory of the season. He is currently fourth overall in 250 SX East rider point standings.

“My starts were pretty good all day,” said Davalos. “My start was great in my heat race but I hit neutral in the first rhythm section, then I got squirrelly in the rut and crashed so that put me behind. I was actually dead last and came all the way back to fourth. I felt good throughout the day. The track was tough, slippery and rutted but it came out ok. In the main, my exit off the start wasn’t great but I knew I had to be consistent. I was very patient in the first turn and rode a smart race. I stayed within my limits. It was definitely hard to be up front and have Jeremy switching and trying new stuff right behind me. I felt good throughout the moto and I’m pretty pumped with this win. I had a pretty good drive in the whoops, and knew I had to be consistent in the corner and not try to rush it. It was a great race overall. I’m super pumped on the improvements and I’m excited to go to New Jersey next week.”

Jason Anderson got a second-place start in his heat and immediately started battling for the lead. He overtook the position by making a pass in the rhythm section halfway through the first lap to take his Husqvarna FC 450 to its third heat race win of 2016. In the main, Anderson pulled a top-five start and navigated to fourth by the second lap. He stayed steady in the position for the next 11 laps before making an aggressive pass for third in lap 13. He held on to the position before falling back to fourth with five laps to go where he finished. He is currently third overall in 450 rider point standings.

“We had some rain and it was muddy in the beginning of the day,” said Anderson, “but it cleared up for the night show. I got a heat race win and was feeling pretty good.  I went into the main and was feeling great. I was battling with Dungey but lost my front brake in the process. I settled into fourth and just rode on from there.”

On Saturday, the popular Team Cup Challenge will take place while on Sunday, the Can-Am (Canadians versus Americans) Challenge will take the track.

"This event really takes us back in time", states Unadilla's Greg Robinson. "It's a retro event in the extreme. When we began putting MX Rewind down on paper, we had a goal to make this event the vintage event of the season. We wanted great vintage racing, cool vintage bikes, and the racers who appreciated both. And now, here we are, ready to celebrate the fifth anniversary of MX Rewind! We are also very excited to have Thor return as the title sponsor of this event for the second straight year. Their motto is "we support the sport" and we certainly appreciate the support they provide this event."

Doug Henry Will Be Honored By The Legends and Heroes Tour

Courtesy of Legends and Heroes Tour

April 20, 2016 - Manlius, NY: Supercross and motocross racing champion Doug Henry will be honored by The Legends and Heroes 2016 Supercross Moto Museum Tour when it visits Boston's Gillette Stadium for Rd. 15 of the Monster Energy Supercross series.

Henry revolutionized motocross when he raced a four-stroke powered bike in pro competition.
Doug Henry was born in 1969 in Milford, CT. During his much celebrated racing career Doug Henry captured a combined total of 25 pro Supercross and motocross wins and four AMA Supercross and national motocross championship titles. Competing throughout the 1990s, he is most remembered for leading a revolution as the sport's first prominent rider to race a 4-stroke powered bike in pro competition. By every measure Doug was a true pioneer swimming against the tide every time he lined up to race. He ignored conventional wisdom by competing in an arena totally dominated by 2-strokes, Doug is remembered today as a key step to the modern 4-strokes that dominate motorcycle racing worldwide.

Henry won the 1997 Supercross season finale at Las Vegas racing a prototype Yamaha YZM 400 thus making him the first rider in the sport's history to do so on a 4-stroke. Doug's victory that night changed forever the face of Supercross and motocross by opening an entirely new chapter for 4-stroke engine design into the next generation of moto.

One season later in 1998 Doug became the first 4-stroke rider in history to win an AMA national motocross title. From that event forward the AMA Motocross Championship racing would become the almost exclusive domain of 4-stroke powered machines. After retiring from motocross full-time, Henry went on to become one of the leading Supermoto riders in the world.

While competing in a Supermoto race in 2007, Doug broke his back and suffered partial paralysis from the waist down. The racer in him is still very much alive and Doug undauntedly continues to ride and compete aboard Yamaha motorcycles. Prior to Saturday's Supercross event at Foxboro, he will ride his specially designed Yamaha YZ450F a parade lap around the stadium. Concluding his lap, Doug will be presented the Legends and Heroes Award by his friend, 6-time AMA champion Broc Glover on the Monster Energy Supercross podium Saturday evening.

THIRD CONSECUTIVE PODIUM FOR ROCZEN & RCH SUZUKI

Courtesy of Suzuki Racing

Team Suzuki Press Office – April 19.

RCH Suzuki Factory Racing’s Ken Roczen put in another hard-fought podium performance aboard his RM-Z450 at round 14 of the AMA/ FIM World Supercross Championship at Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis on Saturday night – his third consecutive second position this season.

RCH Soaring Eagle/ Jimmy John’s/ Suzuki Factory Racing fielded three riders for the Monster Energy event; alongside Roczen were Broc Tickle and Jake Weimer - who has been a stand-in for Tickle as he recuperated from injury.

For the third week in a row, Roczen came up just short of the trop-step after waging a spirited battle throughout the 20-lap Main Event with points-leader and defending series champion Ryan Dungey. Roczen won the holeshot but Dungey had position on the 2014 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Champion in the second corner and that proved to be the difference.

While Roczen stayed on his rear fender and kept Dungey honest for most of the Main Event, a small mistake just after half-way allowed Jason Anderson to take over second, but only for a few laps; the 21-year-old German rider stayed calm and patiently took back the position in the final corner to earn his fourth runner-up and ninth podium finish of the season.

“I didn’t have the best jump out of the gate on the start but I ‘snuck’ around the inside and found myself in a good position,” explained Roczen. “I was battling with Ryan again. I passed him and he got me back. I made a little mistake. I came in too hot in that turn and washed the front end. It’s the third time in a row we’ve come in second. We’re fighting really, really hard and I’m having a blast. We’re all working really well together to make our Soaring Eagle Jimmy John’s Suzuki the best that it can be. Another second place. Another solid finish.”

Both Weimer and Tickle had to race their Suzuki RM-Z450s into the Main Event via their respective semi-final races. Weimer locked in his spot for the 14th race of the season by finishing third in his semi while Tickle picked-up his first semi victory of the year in just his second race back from injury.

“Overall, I felt a lot better than I did last weekend,” said Tickle, who was credited with a 14th-place finish. “The track was a lot of fun. I knew it would be hard to pass but I managed to get a win in my semi, which I’m obviously happy about. I just need to keep riding, doing more motos and get more seat time. I didn’t have much left after the Main so I need to keep riding and getting back into race-shape. We’re going outdoor testing so we’ll change it up a little bit this week, head for Foxboro and try to improve.”

While Weimer was forced to play catch-up for much of the Main Event after brief get off early on, he wasn’t deterred, coming from deep in the field to finish 13th.

“My night was so-so,” offered Weimer. “I fell in the first turn during the Main Event but once I got up, I felt like I rode ok. It’s pretty tough to do much when you’re lying on the ground in the first turn. The track got more-and-more chewed-up as the night went on so I felt like we did a good job keeping up with the bike and adjusting for the track. It just makes for a long 20 laps when you’re on the ground right after the gate drops.”

Monster Energy AMA Supercross returns to Foxboro this coming weekend for the series annual visit to Gillette Stadium and the home of the New England Patriots for the 15th of 17 races on the 2016 Monster Energy Supercross calendar.

  • With his 30th career 450SX Class win, Ryan Dungey became the sixth rider in Monster Energy Supercross history to reach the 30-win mark, joining Ricky Carmichael, Jeremy McGrath, Chad Reed, James Stewart and Ryan Villopoto.

  • The win extended Dungey's record podium streak to 30 races. He also has 32 straight top-five finishes, 43 consecutive top-10 results and has started 68 straight races.

  • Dungey is one podium away from tying Ricky Carmichael for third on the all-time list at 87. He will also equal Carmichael's all-time career starts this weekend at 115.

  • Dungey's eighth win of the season equals the career-best mark he set last season. He has won at least one race in each of his seven seasons of 450SX Class competition.

  • Another victory would mark the first time in his career that Dungey has won four consecutive races. He has two separate three-race streaks this season alone.

  • The 450SX Class podium has produced the exact same finishing order for three straight weeks - Dungey in first, Ken Rocen in second, and Jason Anderson in third.

  • Chad Reed became just the third rider in history to make 200 starts last weekend. Another longtime veteran, Nick Wey, will look to make his 190th career start this weekend. He currently sits tied with Jeff Ward for fourth all time.

  • Jeremy Martin's 250SX Class win ended a 14-year gap between St. Louis wins for Yamaha. He also became the first repeat winner in the Eastern Regional Championship this season.

  • Aaron Plessinger finished second behind Martin, giving Yamalube/Star Racing Yamaha its first ever 1-2 finish.

  • Gannon Audette has just two top-five finishes in 27 career 250SX Class starts, both of which have come in back-to-back weeks riding as a substitute for Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki.

Last Saturday afternoon in St. Louis, Dungey was significantly tested by RCH Soaring Eagle/Jimmy John's/Suzuki Factory Racing's Ken Roczen for the second straight race. Dungey ultimately led all 20 laps of the Main Event, but not without heavy pressure from Roczen that included a brief exchange for the lead and came to an end after the German went down after losing his front end. As a result, Roczen will essentially have to finish ahead of Dungey at Gillette Stadium as he faces a 48-point deficit in the championship standings. With eight wins and a podium result in all 14 races this season, a ninth victory would clinch the third career title for Dungey, as he needs to gain just two points on Roczen in order to successfully defend his title.

"[Roczen and I] were really pushing for the third week in a row. I needed to eliminate the mistakes and put the hammer down," said Dungey after his latest win. "[Roczen] came up on the inside and got by me, but then made a little mistake in the next corner that allowed me to slip under and get back by. After that I found some new lines and that helped a lot."

Although Dungey has finished on top of the podium each of the last three races, Roczen has kept pace with runner-up finishes in each of those Main Events, which included an impressive last-lap pass for second in St. Louis. He has minimized the damage from each Dungey victory and despite missing out on a win, has also ridden exceptionally well. Another similar effort could lead to the win he needs to ensure Dungey's title hopes are put on hold in Foxborough.

"[Dungey and I] are both riding really good. That's the fun part," said Roczen in St. Louis. "I really wanted the win, but I tucked the front end. Hats off to Ryan. He's riding great right now and got the win today."

While Dungey and Roczen have finished 1-2 for three straight races, Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing's Jason Anderson has also solidified his spot as the third-best rider in the 450SX Class. The sophomore rider and two-time winner this season is in the midst of a four-race podium streak. He'll look to keep the streak going in what has been a breakout season for Anderson.

Martin became the first Eastern Regional 250SX repeat winner this season in St. Louis.

For the first time this season, the Eastern Regional 250SX Class Championship welcomed a repeat winner in St. Louis. Yamalube/Star Racing Yamaha's Jeremy Martin rebounded from a DNF at the previous race with a dominant effort, grabbing his first SupercrossLive.com Holeshot Award and carrying it through to his second win of the season. Behind him, the battle atop the championship standings intensified after points leader Stewart crashed on three separate occasions in the 15-lap Main Event to record his worst finish of the season. Taking advantage of that misfortune was Plessinger, who followed up his win two races ago with a runner-up finish that moved him to within a single point of Stewart. The competition in the Eastern Regional Championship has been exciting and unpredictable all season, and now that the title fight is closer than ever there's no reason to expect that trend won't continue.

With so much intrigue in each class, Monster Energy Supercross' return to New England could not be more anticipated. At the championship's last visit to old Foxboro Stadium 26 years ago French legend Jean-Michel Bayle took the win in the 450SX Class, while Denny Stephenson took the 250SX Class victory. Foxborough hosted the championship for three seasons between 1983 and 1990.

Bel-Ray sponsored racer and Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing rider Max Nagl finishes third overall during the fourth round of the 2016 FIM Motocross World Championship in Patagonia, Argentina on April 10.

Out of the starting gate in race one Nagl positioned himself in the lead by the first lap. He held strong to take the win and moved on to the next event. He experienced a small set back in the first corner in race two, however he was able to maneuver himself into fifth position, taking an overall third place finish. Nagl is currently sixth in championship point standings.

“Overall, it was a very good weekend for me. I had a really good first heat. I got a great start and managed to pass Tony pretty soon after the first few corners. I was feeling good so I tried to remain focused on my own race and it paid off. I built a gap of about seven seconds, which allowed me to race to the win. Everything was fine and my riding was really good. Then in the second heat I got a better start but was a bit late on the brakes for the first corner. I went a bit wide ending up sixth after the first corners.”

Zach Osborne Finishes 2nd at Santa Clara SX!

Courtesy of Husqvarna Motorcycles

The Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing team had a very successful night on Saturday for the 12th round of the 2016 Supercross series, held at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. Both Zach Osborne and Jason Anderson earned impressive podium finishes in their respective classes. Teammate Christophe Pourcel sat the night out due to a previous injury.

Zach Osborne was third at the start of his 250SX West heat and propelled himself into the lead by the second lap. He held strong to the finish to earn his fourth heat win of the year. He pulled the holeshot in the main aboard his Husqvarna FC 250, and led the majority of the race before settling into the second-place spot with three laps to go. He finished second, and moves from fifth to fourth overall in 250SX West rider point standings.

‘I had an interesting day,” said Osborne. “I had a big crash in the second practice, but got off to a good start in the heat race, passed into the lead pretty quickly and won. I got the holeshot in the main, led 11 laps, and got second. It was a good day, and I was close to winning. The track was pretty basic today, but it almost had to be because the dirt was so sketchy. I’m not disappointed."

Jason Anderson pulled second at the start of the 450 heat, quickly moved into the lead, and stayed out front until moving to second with two laps to go. He came out of the gate fourth in the main and survived some hard contact with other riders due to the tricky short start. He maneuvered his Husqvarna FC 450 into the third-place position in the second lap, and held strong to the finish. He is currently third overall in 450 rider point standings.

“My night went really well,” said Anderson. “I got a good start in the heat race, and the holeshot in the main event, which is unheard of for me this season. I rode good laps by myself the whole time and ended up on the podium.”

Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Ryan Dungey captured his sixth victory of the season on Saturday at round twelve of the AMA 450SX Championship in Santa Clara, California. Dungey’s win also served as his 28th career victory in the 450SX Class, where he now sits tied for 6th place in the all-time record book.
Ryan Dungey KTM 450 SX-F Santa Clara 2016
Ryan Dungey qualified third overall in the morning’s combined qualifying sessions, while his teammate, Marvin Musquin, experienced a hard crash during the final session. As a result of his crash, Musquin was forced to miss the final minutes of the session, where he ultimately qualified in 13th position.

Both Dungey and Musquin lined up in 450SX Heat 2 and the Red Bull KTM duo shot off the line to capture 1-2 positions in the holeshot. Dungey assumed the early lead, with Musquin and James Stewart close in tow. Dungey held on for all six laps to capture the heat race win, followed by James Stewart in 2nd and Musquin in 3rd.

Main Event
In the 450SX Main Event, both Dungey and Musquin got off to a great start as they entered the opening lap inside the top three on their KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION’s. Dungey quickly made his way around Jason Anderson to take over the lead position while Ken Roczen settled in close behind. From there, it was an all-out battle for the lead between Dungey and Roczen, as both riders pushed the limit for the full 20-lap Main Event.

In the end, Dungey prevailed to capture his 28th career victory in the 450SX Class, while gaining valuable points in the championship chase. Dungey now holds a 42-point lead over Roczen with five rounds remaining in the season.

“It feels great to be back in the center of the podium,” Dungey stated. “I got a good start and just tried to put the hammer down. Kenny (Roczen) was right there the whole night but we just tried to ride mistake-free and it went well.”

Musquin ultimately finished 17th in the Main Event, following a crash during the day’s final qualifying session. Musquin now sits in 5th place in the 450SX Championship standings.
