Raleigh-Durham, NC (January 9, 2018) – North Carolina Motorsports Park announced the inaugural “Carolina Motofest,” set to take place on Labor Day weekend. This AMA-sanctioned event, held from Friday, August 31 – Monday, September 3, will set a new standard for fun racing. Carolina MotoFest will be the only event in the U.S. to feature Grand Prix motocross, Sprint Enduro, and EnduroCross* in an exciting three-day weekend.
“Let’s see who is the best at MotoFest,” said Mark Czysz, owner of North Carolina Motorsports Park (NCMP). The event will allow competitors to test their skills in three disciplines of off-road racing. Riders can compete in anywhere from one to all three of the events; however, only one Grand Champion will be crowned that is successful in all three types of racing.
“We took all of our experience with EnduroCross, Extreme Enduro, Grand Prix motocross, amateur motocross and motorsports festivals to create an event that will bring an exceptional level of fun to amateur racers. We also believe it will provide an unmatched challenge for the top Pro racers in the country,” said Tom Zielinski, co-creator of the Carolina MotoFest.
In addition to three great days of racing and nightly entertainment, Carolina MotoFest will hold a riding school on Friday, August 31. Sign up early to take advantage of learning from some of the greatest off-road and motocross athletes in the country. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Carolina MotoFest was built around the premise that motorcycle racers are ready to try something new. This event is the unique approach that many racers have been looking for, as it connects off-road and motocross communities with an event that everyone can enjoy. “The event encompasses competition and entertainment for all. We’re focused on providing a family atmosphere. There will be a variety of racing classes, nightly bands, and everything in between,” stated Mark Czysz.
North Carolina Motorsports Park has been a regional hot spot for more than a decade, hosting such prestigious events as Loretta Lynn Amateur Qualifiers. NCMP will be pulling out all of the stops for the Carolina MotoFest, constructing a special EnduroCross course, two-plus mile Grand Prix track, and one-of-a-kind Spring Enduro course.
Throughout the weekend there will be opportunities to support Destry Abbott’s DA8 Strong foundation and pick up DA8 Strong swag. Look for details on classes, how to sign up, camping, and other exciting additions at www.ncmp.net in the coming weeks.
