HILLSDALE, Mich., – Chasing kids on mini
bikes around with a camera is nothing new. But not since Bruce Brown
captured a young Jeff Ward wheelieing his mini bike in the opening
scenes of “One Any Sunday” has the footage of young mini cycle riders
been brought to the forefront of the global motocross industry like
it’s going to happen here with Cobra Moto’s new homegrown video contest
that opens today.
Dubbed “Cobra Tales,” the three-month long video contest running through April 30th gives Cobra competition mini bike racers and their families and friends the chance to show off the young racers’ formidable riding skills – along with one’s video documentation skills - to a vast audience through the magic of the Internet.
“Each week we receive and are linked to amazing footage from Cobra families all over the world. From the requisite ‘Please Sponsor Me’ videos to actual race footage from all the major amateur nationals, people associated with the legions of Cobra racers are doing an incredible job documenting the early years of these future champions,” said Sean Hilbert, President of Cobra Moto. “Given that Cobra Moto thought it’d be fun to pull together a competition as to who puts together the best Cobra video.”
Cobra Tales taps on the competitive spirit in all families that pack up and race their Cobras on the weekends. Footage of Junior nailing the landing on his first big tabletop to slow motion berm shots of Cobra’s top factory riders – everybody’s welcome to enter the contest, showcasing their future champion for everyone to see through Cobra Tales on YouTube! So here’s what you need to know …
