Merritt Island FL, August 29, 2017 - Engine Ice Hi-Performance Coolant, the premier choice for powersports coolant and antifreeze, would like to congratulate all of our supported racers and teams on a successful 2017 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship series. Leading the way is the Rocky Mountain ATV MC - WPS - KTM team of Blake Baggett, Dakota Alix, and Benny Bloss. Following a successful supercross series that saw him finish sixth overall, Baggett was a title contender during the entire series. Baggett won two motos and two overalls and despite an injury suffered at Red Bud Baggett continued to charge each weekend. He spent the remainder of the series in pain but gutted it out each weekend to finish on the podium with a third place in the final standings. Baggett will have surgery this week to be ready for the 2018 Supercross series. Baggett's teammate, Dakota Alix, made his debut in the 450MX class this season. Alix showed impressive speed and consistent finishes to finish well inside the top 20 with a 14th place overall. The third member of the Rocky Mountain team, Benny Bloss, missed the first seven rounds of the series due to a supercross injury. He joined the action at Spring Creek and finished well enough in the remaining rounds to finish 19th overall in the series. Another Engine Ice supported team; Traders MX Racing competes on their Yamaha's in the 250MX class. Luke Renzland led the team finishing 15th place in the series standings while his teammate Nick Gaines was just a couple of spots back in 17th. The third member of the team, Jayce Pennington joined the action after completing his amateur career at Loretta Lynn's. He made his debut at Unadilla with a 20th overall, followed by 22nd at Budd's Creek and 21st in Indiana. Look for bright things ahead for this young rider. In addition to these two teams, Engine Ice supports privateer racers that compete on their own or as part of other satellite teams. The most notable rider in this group is John Short of the TPJ Racing team. Short finished in 20th place in the final series standings. "National motocross is a real test of rider and machine. Long motos, intense heat and grueling conditions all add up to the ultimate proving ground for an engine coolant. We are glad that so many riders and mechanics have the confidence to choose Engine Ice, to ease their mind in these conditions," said Dave Kimmey, President of CycleLogic, the makers of Engine Ice. "With our riders success in supercross and now the nationals, 2017 is the most successful year in our company history. Congratulations and thank you to everyone involved. From rider-to-mechanic-to manager, we appreciate the support."
