Oceanside, CA - Supercross Lites rider, Daniel Blair, has just finalized a deal that will see him wearing O/Neal MX Gear and Helmets for the 2010 SX Season. Fans will get their first glimpse of Daniel in his new gear this weekend, October 10th and 11th, at the US Open of SX.
“I am pumped to be working with such an established brand that has a long history in the sport of MX”, said Blair. “With my decision to race as a Privateer in 2010, it’s great to see companies like O’Neal step-up in the midst of all the industry’s uncertainty.”
O’Neal MX’s Director of Rider Support, Chris Honnold, added, “O’Neal MX is 100% behind Daniel for the upcoming SX season and we look forward in sharing his successes with him. Daniel is such an outgoing, fun individual and we plan on creating some fun promotions around him this next year.”
For 2010, Daniel has made the choice to race as a true Privateer. “I am so excited about 2010 and more prepared than ever. Because of the economy and with so many people waiting for rides, I decided to go solo and build a closer relationship with my sponsors. This way, I get to control what bike I ride ( 2010 Kawasaki KX250F), what coast I ride (East Coast Lites) and how I promote all my sponsors. I have a super solid engine development program in place, so my bikes will be way fast in 2010.”
Daniel Blair, the 26 year-old from Modesto, CA is a recognizable name in Supercross, both on and off the track. In 2009, Blair finished the East Coast Lites series within the top-10 OA and was awarded a ride for the second half of the season on the Geico Powersports Honda Team. Daniel is also well known for his band, The Main Event, which has played at US Open of SX events, The Warped Tour and has been featured in numerous MX DVD’s.
