AURORA, Ill. (October 28, 2009) - Feld Motor SportsSM announced today Monster Energy® Supercross, an FIM World Championship, will partner with Komen For The Cure to host the first-ever breast cancer awareness race at Anaheim's Angel Stadium Saturday, February 13. Contributions will go to the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure 60-mile walk.

Monster Energy® Supercross will undergo a "pink" theme during its stop at Anaheim's Angel Stadium. The excitement of this event has riders, industry reps, press and staff displaying pink in support of this special event.  Fans are encouraged to join the fight and wear something pink to the Anaheim event.

"We decided to join in the fight to end breast cancer because it affects so many of the women in our industry," said Dave Prater, director of supercross, Feld Motor Sports?. "As a community we wanted to make a difference to help fight the disease. Holding our event in February will help to raise awareness year round, not just during the month of October."

Breast cancer affects one in eight women in the U.S. and breast cancer knows no boundaries-be it age, gender, socio-economic status or, more broadly, the state of the economy. Monster Energy® Supercross fans recognize the need for continued support of charitable causes as both a broad effort and for personal reasons alike.

Working with Feld Motor Sports, Shasta Johnson will join thousands of other dedicated men and women for the San Diego Breast Cancer 3-Day to raise awareness and funds for the fight against breast cancer. The three-day, 60-mile walk benefiting Susan G. Komen for the Cure® requires months of physical and financial preparation, challenge and triumph.

"Monster Energy® Supercross fans have shown an unprecedented outpouring of support in my efforts to raise awareness and funds this year, encouraging me to continue in 2010," said Shasta Johnson. "It is very rewarding to know my commitment has brought so many people in our industry together in support of my team's bold efforts to raise funds to end breast cancer. The fans really are phenomenal."
