“THE MOTO: INSIDE THE OUTDOORS” MOTOCROSS DOCU-SERIES RETURNS TO FUEL TV
High Energy Sophomore Season Premieres Thursday, March 3, 2011
LOS ANGELES, CA - FUEL TV, Fox Sports Media Group’s dynamic entertainment and sports network for young males, announces the return of the exciting motocross docu-series “The Moto: Inside The Outdoors,” premiering on Thursday, March 3, at 10:00PM ET/PT. The eight-part series, produced and directed by the award-winning motocross filmmaker Troy Adamitis, provides an intimate, inside look at one of the most grueling professional race series in the world; the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship.
Shot in high definition, season two of “The Moto: Inside The Outdoors” reveals the behind-the-scenes lives of the top motocross professionals in the world. Riders such as 2010 Champion Ryan Dungey, 2009 Champ Chad Reed, rivals Mike Alessi and Josh Grant, and seasoned pro Andrew Short, come together to compete on the grueling 12-stop race circuit. Going beyond the track, “The Moto” also highlights the trainers, mechanics, families and friends who serve as the foundation for success. Rain or shine, “The Moto” follows their nomadic journeys on the road, the track and in the pits to uncover the lives of people who lay it all on the line; hostile rivalries, brutal tracks, unforgiving weather and a constant goal of mastering their body’s limitations. In this world, everything comes second to the moto.
“The first season was big with our audience,” says CJ Olivares, FUEL TV GM. “It brought a distinctive voice that no one other than Troy and his team could deliver. This season, they were embedded in the tour all season, and with their skills as storytellers and amazing cinematographers, they take us deeper into the emotional stories of guys who risk everything for the love of racing. When you watch the show, it’s hard not to get sucked into this intriguing world.”
“This show is such a great opportunity to showcase the motocross lifestyle,” says “The Moto: Inside The Outdoors” Director Troy Adamitis. “We have a tremendous amount of respect for the industry, the riders, and their families. FUEL TV has the perfect platform for this kind of show and we’re thrilled to be working together for a second season.”
Adamitis has directed more than 20 motocross films including the famed documentary series “The Great Outdoors.” He’s considered one of the leading filmmakers in the sport of motocross and is known for amazing cinematography, authenticity, and compelling story-telling techniques that transcend typical sport films. He has created motocross cult classics such as “Wrathchild,” “Chapter 1” and “ChainSmoke.”
Original episodes of “The Moto: Inside The Outdoors” premiere on FUEL TV on Thursday nights starting March 3, 2011 at 10:00pm ET/PT and re-air several times throughout the week. The series is eight weeks long. To watch an embeddable show teaser, please click here: http://bcove.me/81nahkne
