Inside MXP with Marc Travers
"It's about time someone did this from MXP. Where ya been?!! LOL", said an MXP Fan. Well, we answered it with Inside MXP with Marc Travers. There is a lot of chatter throughout the industry that rarely gets heard. It's lost in the world of secrecy and inner circles.
MXP is making it happen. Marc Travers, the host of the show, sits down with riders, managers, fans and industry leaders to find out how things tick in Canadian Moto. Tune in every Tuesday for some insight from all angles of the Motocross scene. Listen as Travers finds out the truth, the unexpected, and what goes on behind closed doors.
We've started with a Team Manger theme so far and have had great response. Andy White from KTM Canada was the man that took the holeshot for the very first MXP podcast. Andy has improved KTM Canada’s program by leaps and bounds compared to when he first took on the position. He has also helped KTM become a huge threat as a competitive motorcycle that fans are looking to buy. Andy has a wealth of experience, and you get a taste of it in this podcast. Click here to listen.
Jason Hughes, owner of Leading Edge Kawasaki and Team Manager of the Monster Energy Leading Edge Kawasaki Team, is fairly new as far as racing goes on the Pro team level. Entered in 2008 as a freshman, Jason along with his team earned a 2nd overall in the MX2 title fight. The team then earned its first title the following year with American import Teddy Maier. 2011 is a big year for the squad. Blackfoot/Yamaha/Red Bull/Fox Racing has owned the title of "Greatest Canadian Team Ever" since the beginning when they won their very first title in 2000. It has since been utter domination over racers, teams and stats. Dean Thompson, Team Manager, took over the role in 2004. He has been an intricate part of the team and the extended business of Blackfootdirect.com. 2011 marked the 16th championship for the team. The fourth instalment will come this Tuesday, March 28th on www.mxpmag.com. Host Marc Travers catches up with multi-extreme sports Team Manager André Laurin of the Rockstar OTSFF squad. André is a leader in the freight forwarding business, and has brought his knowledge and marketing skills to Snocross and Motocross. He has had top athletes on his team including John Dowd, Mike Treadwell, Gavin Gracyk, Keith Johnson, Iain Hayden, Tyler Medaglia and the most recently Bobby Kiniry. The team has yet to win a title in MX but is the dominant team in Snocross. Check back with MXP this coming Tuesday, March 28th to hear from OTSFF Owner André Laurin.
