Costa Mesa, CA (March 2, 2016) – Ride Engineering, the industry leader in aftermarket handling performance, is a proud sponsor of the 51FIFTY Energy Drink Yamaha Team.

Rookie, Hayden Mellross, has made every Main in his SX debut and his  #72 YZ250F comes complete with Ride Engineering 20mm offset triple clamps and a 1.5mm longer performance linkage arm.

“I’m a believer that a solid bike set up starts at the front,” mentioned team rider Hayden Mellross. “The 20mm clamps are truly the best of both worlds: stable in the straights, but still nimble and sharp in the corners.”

Perfect for the YZs, the team uses the Ride Engineering YZF Performance Link.   The link improves handling mid-corner and balances out the bike. Less effort is required to initiate turn-in helps keep the bike tracking straight in whoops allowing the rider to be more aggressive. It also keeps the back end planted in breaking bumps.

“Prior to the SX season, we tested several brands and came away impressed with Ride Engineering,” says Team Manager Craig Monty. “From there, we tested different clamp offsets and link lengths.  Hayden was instantly comfortable with the 20mm offsets and went with the 1.5mm longer link for SX. The longer link arm drops the Yamaha’s rear end giving it that aggressive stance and performance that we need in Supercross.”
