Rockwell Time Race Report...Hangtown

SALT LAKE CITY, UT (May 25, 2010) Rockwell Time Team riders had a great showing at the first round of the 2010 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship Series this past weekend at the Hangtown Motocross Classic.  Crowds packed in to witness the start of another great season of rubbin’ and racing.  Mike Alessi proved that his new 350 SX-F has the ponies to run with the 450’s and used his new ride to grab the win in the second 450 moto.  The win coupled with his third place finish in the first moto gave Alessi second overall for the day; putting Alessi one spot behind 2009 Champ Chad Reed.  Fellow Rockwell Team rider Davi Millsaps also proved that he will be a serious threat this season and ran up front in both 450 motos.  Davi’s 3-2 moto scores earned him third overall.
Rockwell Time Lites riders Jake Weimer, Justin Barcia, and Broc Tickle all put in some great rides at Hangtown.  Although Weimer planned to be on the box, his 4-8 moto scores were impressive against the stacked 250 field and he finished the day with a fourth overall.  Justin Barcia took the fifth spot with 5-7 moto scores and Broc Tickle ended his day 7th overall with 11-5 moto scores.
