MORGANTOWN, W.V. - As a sign of appreciation for the continued support of the Asterisk Mobile Medical Center (AMMC), MX Sports Pro Racing, in partnership with the National Promoters Group (NGP), provided a donation of $20,000 to the AMMC at the season opening round of the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship last weekend at Hangtown.

The AMMC has served as an integral part of AMA Pro Motocross for many years, providing the world's best riders with unprecedented on-site medical attention at the most renowned events on the planet.

"Asterisk is a part of the foundation of the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship," said MX Sports Vice President Davey Coombs. "The dedication of Doc Bodnar, Tom Carson and their entire staff is second to none. Their presence at the track gives a tremendous sense of confidence and security for all the riders on the track as each of them know the series is in good hands."

"This commitment and financial contribution from MX Sports and the NPG is how we are able to support the Lucas Oil Motocross Championship," stated Tom Carson, Director of the AMMC. "Our relationship with MX Sports and NPG is a safety partnership for the racers and this check will directly support the 2010 championship."

Doctor John Bodnar, affectionately known as "Doc" throughout the industry, accepted the check on behalf of the AMMC and was quick to acknowledge the efforts of his crew. Asterisk provides the racing community with the most complete mobile trauma facility in the world, but everything else including the crew is supported entirely by donation.

Bodnar's excitement was obvious and summed up his emotions by simply saying "this is really great!"

The 2010 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship continues next weekend with the Flagstar Bank Freestone National from Freestone Raceway in Wortham, Texas. Gates drop on Saturday, June 5 beginning at 1 p.m. CST.
