Bel-Ray Race Report – Las Vegas Preview

Regardless of what happens on Saturday in Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, the 2011 Monster Energy Supercross series will go down in history as one the most exciting ever. There have been 5 different winners and the points lead has changed 5 times amongst 3 different racers. TwoTwo Motorsports / Bel-Ray Racing’s Chad Reed is currently second in the standings, just 9 points out of the lead.

Reed comes into the final round with 10 podiums, including a victory in San Diego this season and is prepared to do whatever it takes to take home the championship on Saturday night. During his career, Reed has won the Las Vegas round 3 times and marks this event as one of his favorite on the circuit. Anything that can happen usually does in Las Vegas and with the twists and turns this season has taken, anything is possible.

Across the pit in the Dodge Motorsports / Hart and Huntington / Bel-Ray pit, Chris Blose will uphold the honors of his team. Teammate, Ivan Tedesco, is done for the season after having surgery to repair an injured hip and knee. Blose will be the lone rider under the tent at the team’s semi. Blose has had a solid season and is one of only 8 riders to make every main event this season. He is currently in 15th in the overall season standings and his best finish this season was a 11th in the Oakland, California round.

Catch all the racing action this Saturday night live on Speed beginning at 10pm EST.
