Indianapolis, IN – As the 11th round of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross rolled in to Indy, AG Motorsports rider, Kyle Peters was ready to improve on his season. Little did he know this was going to be the best night of his Pro career.

After qualifying 12th fastest for the evening event, Kyle was placed in Heat 1. When the gate dropped for Heat 1, Kyle got a good start and settled in the 5th position wire to wire.

Having a solid gate for the Main Event, Kyle was focused on getting a good start. When the gate dropped, Kyle grabbed a handful of throttle and challenged Wharton for the Holeshot. Kyle quickly got around Wharton as they battled for the first lap before Wharton used up all the real estate on the track forcing Kyle to go outside the tough blocks. Wharton and Kyle quickly pulled away from the pack as they settled in for the 15 lap Main Event. On lap 13, Musquin fought his way through the pack and challenged Kyle for the number 2 position. Kyle made a mistake and Musquin took advantage as Kyle gave up the position. With two laps to go, it appeared Kyle was looking at his first Pro career podium finish in 3rd place. But in the final, Wharton mistimed the rhythm section and went down giving Kyle the number 2 position when the checkered flag dropped. With a 2nd place finish, Kyle moved up to 5th in the series championship points chase.

“This is such a great feeling”, said Kyle. “I have worked hard and will continue to put in the work. I want to thank my team and family for supporting me and can’t wait for Toronto.”

“We are very happy for Kyle”, said Al Albiker, Team Manager. “It was a great night for AG Motorsports and everyone involved with the team. The day started off with a lot of chasing the set up that we had and trying to make Kyle more comfortable with the bike and the track conditions. Each practice we kept tuning on it to make it better. Kyle did what he does best and got a great start to put him in a position to finish on the podium. I would like to thank everyone that supports us with the team and congratulate the entire Peters family on Kyle’s first, but not last podium finish.”
