Lucas Oil Stadium- Indianapolis, IN - Supercross headed
to Indianapolis, IN for the fifth round of the 250 east coast lites
class. With 60,000 fans in attendance, Dedicated Athletics rider Jimmy
DeCotis #613 was looking to improve on last week's results. DeCotis
qualified 10th during daytime qualifying practice. In the heat race,
DeCotis lined up on the inside gate, which proved to be a great gate
pick. DeCotis had a great jump and tucked inside of the first turn to
grab the holeshot!! Musquin would get past DeCotis early, but DeCotis
held onto his spot and finished 2nd! His best heat race result of the
season!
With some confidence heading into the main event, DeCotis
looked to get a solid result. In the main event, DeCotis again chose
the inside gate. DeCotis got a good jump as the riders headed toward the
first turn. DeCotis clipped a tuff block dragging it through the first
corner. The tuff block was hard to shake and DeCotis dropped to the back
of the pack before he managed to get flowing again. As we have seen
this season, DeCotis fought hard and managed to move his way up to 12th,
matching his result from last week. DeCotis was a bit frustrated with
the result, but still sits in the top 10 in points as the series moves
to Toronto, Canada next week.
Dedicated Athletics is extremely
proud to support DeCotis’ racing efforts. DeCotis is also proudly
supported by High Octane Harley Davidson, Fox, Spectro Oils, Pro
Circuit, 100%, Ryno Power, DC Shoes, Factory Connection, Ever Rev, KJC
Fitted, CRF Stuff, Hinson, Dunlop and Renthal.
