Brett Metcalfe Returns
to AMA Racing this Weekend at Southwick
TUALATIN, OR (June
25, 2013) MotoSport.com and ADR Motorsports are pleased to welcome Brett Metcalfe back to the United States
and the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship at Southwick Motocross in
Southwick, MA this weekend. Metcalfe is currently leading the Monster Energy
Motocross CMRC National Motocross
Championship on the Monster Energy Leading Edge Kawasaki team.
The partnership with Metcalfe is a one round deal with ADR Motorsports,
but Metcalfe may try his talents at a couple of more AMA events before the
season ends. The Australian born Metcalfe lives in the United States and has a
long history racing in the AMA. Historically, he’s done very well at Southwick,
including an overall victory in 2011, and when he expressed interest in racing
this year it made sense for ADR Motorsports to step-up since the team maintains
Metcalfe’s practice bikes.
Metcalfe is having a good season in Canada. He took the
overall in Round four at Castrol Raceway in Alberta on Sunday– his third
straight overall. After four of nine events Metcalfe holds a comfortable lead
with 191 points, 44 ahead of second place. He has two sweeps on the season. The
Monster Energy Motocross CMRC Nationals break until July 14th.
Metcalfe’s Kawasaki’s were built in the ADR shop in
California which are now on their way to Massachusetts. The ADR Motorsports team
which was in Alabama for an AMA Superbike event is on its way to Southwick. There
are a number of sponsors on both sides of the border that conflict with
Metcalfe’s personal sponsors as well as ADR Motorsports team sponsors but
everyone is working together to make this happen, said David Anthony, ADR Motorsports
team manager.
“As you can see it’s a big effort to make everything come
together for this one event,” said Anthony. “We were more than happy to help in
whatever way we could.”
Metcalfe’s personal sponsors are Metty24, Kawasaki, Leading Edge Kawasaki Racing,
Monster Energy, ADR Motorsports/Motosport.com,
Thor/Parts Unlimited, FMF, Dunlop, Dubya, Cycra, Xtrig, Hinson, Mika Metals,
DT1, C4MX, Graeme Brough, Works Connection, TM Designworks, Magik SC Customs,
M2R helmet, 100%, Schaefer tracks, GT Bicycles, and Donjoy.
