MicroBilt/PRBC Yoshimura Suzuki kicked off the 2017 racing season Saturday night by participating in the opening round of the Monster Energy Supercross. Team rider Ronnie Stewart made the evening program and ran in three qualifying races aboard the championship-winning Suzuki RM-Z450.
Stewart kicked off the day at Anaheim 1 with a 32nd-place qualifying performance turning a best lap time of 1:07.918, which landed him safely into the evening program. Tough outings in both his heat race and semi put Stewart into LCQ. In the LCQ he turned in some of his best laps of the night, but it wasn’t enough to put him into the final. Still, Stewart came away with three races under his belt and a good baseline to begin his quest in 2017.
“I was very proud to see everything come together with our new setup,” Stewart said after the race. “The Team did a fantastic job with our presentation which provides us an amazing opportunity for fan activation and hospitality this season.
“My performance on track wasn't the highlight. A few variables played against me, but with the support of MicroBilt, PRBC, Yoshimura and Suzuki, I'm confident with more preparation we will soon be in the main events and battling with the best. I'm really looking forward to getting everything synced and firing on all cylinders. It's great we have a long season. See you guys in San Diego!”

As usual Anaheim 1 was jam-packed and the team enjoyed hosting the fans and company customers with VIP treatment within the intense action of the pits. This year the team is enjoying a presence on par with the full factory teams thanks to squad’s new transporter.
“A1 is always a special race as it's the opener to our series,” explained Team Manager Brooke Stewart. “This year we had a major change as we grew into a full semi transporter. It was rewarding to see how well everything came together, and the smiles on the faces of our VIPS and fans showed that our efforts were appreciated. Now that everything has come together we can focus on improving on and off the track. With 16 rounds left in Supercross, I have no doubt that we can get to where we want to be.”
Team MicroBilt/PRBC Yoshimura Suzuki and Ronnie Stewart will be back in action again this Saturday, January 14, 2017, in round two of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series at Petco Park, in San Diego, California. The event will be televised on Fox Sports 1.
