32nd Annual Motorama Arenacross

Courtesy of Motorama
Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex
Harrisburg, PA
February 20-21, 2010

Hanover PA. The Harrisburg Farm Show Complex will host the 32nd annual Motorama Races & Shows on February 20th & 21st. Spectator doors will open on this mid winter extravaganza Saturday from 9AM to 10PM and Sunday from 9AM to 5 PM. This is the time for all motorheads to get a jump on the Spring racing season. Motorama combines 2 huge indoor shows with the excitement of live racing, all in the heated 24 - acre complex.

The main hall at the south end of the complex is home to the Speed Show. Stroll down the isles to see over 350 race and show vehicle related vendors, collectables and simulators. Vote for your favorite vehicle by supporting our charity, the Spina BiFida Association. With the support of Motorama fans and the voting public, over $220,000 has been raised for families in Central Pennsylvania. On the show stage will be a charity auction, musical entertainment and the ever-popular Ms Motorama Pageant. Ms Motorama 2009, _Jessica Jordan from Boonsboro, Md. will hand over her crown Sunday between 11AM and 1:30 PM.

The new Expo Hall at the North end has expanded to include the new Rod & Custom car show along with the Tunerwar Sport Compact and Bike Show. This will be the largest two-day show of its kind on the East Coast, with over 300 vehicles on display. There will be "live" entertainment on stage both days along with stunts by the Free Cycle Action Sports Team.

As always, the indoor racing provides the adrenaline for the 30,000 Motorama fans. The must see spectacle is the two days of high flying arenacross action in the 8000 seat Large Arena. Some of the best motorcross and ATV riders in the northeast will battle, handle bar to handle bar, while trying to tame the dirt jumps. New to the Arenacross track this year will be Remote Control 1/5 scale Baja trucks & buggies brought to you by Hostile Hobby.
Remote control competition will be a big part of Motorama 2010. Don't let their size fool you, these nitro burning 1/8 scale buggies, truggies, and monster trucks, run like the big boys without the driver. They are radio controlled from a 10-foot driver's stand and refueled during the race by a one-man pit crew. All the action takes place in the 1200 seat Equine Arena and sponsored by TQ Fuels.

The West hall will be home to the newest forms of Electric Remote Control Racing. There will be two tracks, one for 1/10 scale Remote Control racing on the short course brought to you by Harrisburg's own Hidden Hanger and a Rockcrawling competition on a purpose built layout of rock & dirt for three rockcrawling divisions run by Western Pennsylvania Rockcrawlers Association and is an Official qualifying event for the Nationals.

Destruction is the attraction in the Small Arena. This is Robot Conflict territory and run by the Northeast Robotics Club. All the robots are entered in a bracket according to their weight. Two bots enter a Plexiglas enclosed arena and battle for 3 minutes. The winner goes to the next round.

If it's oval racing you like, you have two options. In the Northeast Building there will be over 200 go karts competing on the 1/10th mile concrete oval. Racing is intense with 6-second lap times. The kids are the main attraction in the Quarter Midget Races in the Northwest Building. See boys and girls from ages 5 to 14 years of age test their skills on the concrete oval. These kids are serious about their racing and are the future stars of the sport. There are over 230 midgets registered.

The 2010 edition of Motorama is the largest event of it's kind in the northeast and is a sure cure for cabin fever. As always, all seats are general admission and all scheduled activities are included. For advanced tickets, a complete schedule of events, vendor and exhibitor information, visit www.motoramaevents.com.

If you will be a participant or spectator at this year's event here are a few quick notes to make your experience as enjoyable as possible.

Only 4 days left to register or purchase advanced ticket. Visit the below link to register as a participant or spectator; find local hotels and or take a look at the schedule of events. You can also download maps rule and regulations and so much more.

Ryan Dungey's Blog

Team Suzuki Press Office - February 4.

So far, the 2010 season on the Rockstar Makita Suzuki team has been really great. I put in a lot of hard work in the off-season, but the start of the AMA Supercross has been better than I could’ve imagined.

Roger DeCoster always tells me the only thing that matters is the last race, so I’m really focusing on keeping healthy and racing smart. I’m just going to try to carry the momentum and remember it’s one race at a time, and also to have fun, enjoy it, and let the rest come. The season is a long one, 17 races, and there’s a lot of racing left to do.

Winning the first race of my 450 career in Phoenix, Arizona, was great and following up that win with another one in Anaheim 2 was like icing on the cake. The setup on my Suzuki RM-Z450 is really good, and all the guys on the team are really working hard to make sure it’s in great shape.

The fuel injection on the bike is really good, and right off the starts I have instant power. There’s no bog, and it just launches out of the gate. No one knows how the rest of the season is going to go, but I hope that I can continue to do well and put the team and the bike on the podium.

Before I sign off, I want to thank my fans, my sponsors, and my family for supporting me. I couldn’t do this without help from a lot of great people, so thanks!

The 2010 team will include Steven Clarke and Matt Lemoine, who will contest the East Coast Supercross Lites Championship Series as well as the AMA Outdoor Lites Championship Series. Sherri Cruse will compete in the Women’s Motocross Championships.
This is Team Suzuki City’s third year in existence and with each year the team has gained momentum and improved their race results. In 2009, Team Suzuki City riders placed solidly inside the top ten of the AMA East Coast Lites Championship Series.

Steven Clarke is returning the Team Suzuki City in 2010 and has high expectations for himself. Clarke said, “Everything is coming along great. I’m healthy and looking forward to Indy. If I ride to my potential, I know I can easily come away top 5 in points."

Matt Lemoine, new to Team Suzuki City is anticipating an awesome 2010 race season. "I'm 100% happy, the team is great. The guys have done everything to make the bike exactly what I want. I'm looking forward to Indy so we can get to racing," said an excited Lemoine.

MotorcycleUSA.com Strengthens Commitment to GNCC Series

MotorcycleUSA.com Strengthens Commitment to GNCC Series

Morgantown, W.Va. (February 3, 2010 ) - Racer Productions, producers of the Can-Am Grand National Cross Country Series, is happy to announce that MotorcycleUSA.com, title sponsor of the Snowshoe GNCC, has strengthened their commitment to the tour by adding Title Sponsorship of two additional events, the Yadkin Valley Stomp, in Yadkinville, N.C.,  and The Titan in Lafayette, T.N., as well as backing the holeshot awards in all four GNCC pro classes, both XC1 and XC2 on bikes and ATVs.
"The 2009 season marked the first year as a sponsor of the GNCC series," said Ken Hutchison, vice president of MotorcycleUSA.com. "We discovered the market to be a perfect fit for our brand. The racers, their families and the spectators bring a lot of energy to these events and provided us with the spark necessary to come back even stronger for 2010."
"We jumped in with both feet last year as the Title Sponsor of the Snowshoe event," continued Hutchison. "The location was fantastic as was the racing, not to mention the exposure MotorcycleUSA received. If you are a fan of off-road racing, I cannot think of a better race to participate in or to spectate. The Snowshoe Resort and the people were very accommodating. The rooms, the restaurants and the nightlife all add up to make this a spectacular experience."
MotorcycleUSA.com will also be the Holeshot Award sponsor for both the XC1 and XC2 motorcycle and ATV classes. Last year, MotorcycleUSA.com paid $250 to each XC1 motorcycle and ATV Holeshot winner. That total remains for 2010, with an additional $100 to each XC2 motorcycle and ATV holeshot winner at all 13 rounds.
"Sponsoring the Holeshot Award for both the XC1 Bike and ATV classes worked well for us last year," explained Tim Clark, Director of marketing for MotorcycleUSA. "So well, in fact, we will be sponsoring both the XC1 and XC2 classes for 2010."

"The Snowshoe GNCC was also very successful for us," continued Clark. "It opened enough doors that we decided to up our game to include the Title Sponsorship of both the Yadkin Valley and The Titan events. Helping the riders is one of our main goals and sponsoring the Holeshot Awards and posting large purses like we did with the Snowshoe last year serves a great way to benefit the racers."
The 2010 Can-Am Grand National Cross Country Series kicks off on February 27- March 2 as part of Daytona Bike Week at the Westgate River Ranch Resort in River Ranch, Florida, with the Parts Unlimited River Ranch GNCC. ATVs race on Sunday, February 28, and bikes race on Tuesday, March 2.
For more information, check out the official series website at www.GNCCRacing.com or call 304-284-0084.

Tonight on DMXS Radio

Courtesy of DMXS Radio

Factory Rockstar Makita Suzuki’s Ryan Dungey made the most of his eventful night in San Francisco and maintains a comfortable cushion in the championship battle. With the top two contenders out, the potent rookie finds himself as the unlikely target for the field after four rounds are now in the books. It has been a while since a rookie has so fully prepared for the step up to the big bikes and Ryan made it clear at the season opener that he’s ready for the fight.

Geico Powersports Honda’s Trey Canard won his first race of the year and is looking to build on that momentum in hopes of making a legitimate run at Jake Weimer in the second half of the AMA Supercross West Lites series. Trey has always been a popular guest with the listeners on our show for his quirky sense of humor and honesty so we hope he brings his good stuff tonight.

There have been some true characters in our sport over the years and few as infamous in the South as Matt “Stalker” Walker. The fiery competitor was never lacking in controversy or heart throughout his career and made a few headlines in his day. Even though he is no longer stalking the competition, Matt is still heavily involved in our sport as a coach and trainer. We will catch up with our southern neighbor tonight and hear the latest on his riders and his take on the season so far.

Monster Energy Supercross is going pink for Anaheim 3 and is teaming up with the Susan G. Komen For The Cure to help raise awareness and funds for the fight against breast cancer. Our good friend Shasta Johnson is spearheading this and will be on tonight to give us all the details. She will also be joining thousands of dedicated men and women for the San Diego Breast Cancer 3-Day walk to further the effort. Please make plans to wear pink at Anaheim 3 and check out www.komen.org to find ways to get involved!
