PAYSON, UT – Rocky Mountain ATV/MC is excited to announce that it will serve as a sponsor for the 6th Annual James Stewart AMA Freestone Spring Championship presented by Parts Unlimited and Thor. This begins a two-year agreement to support the event, representing a commitment that will help the Freestone Spring Championship be better than ever. The event will take place at Freestone Raceway in Wortham, Texas, on March 14-19, 2016. In conjunction with the sponsorship, Rocky Mountain ATV/MC will also offer each rider a $10 gift card through its Race Gas program, providing one more way to enhance the overall event.

The Freestone Spring Championship was started in 2011 and immediately distinguished itself by using a timed practice format to determine gate picks. It is one of the big five events that constitutes the “Majors” for American amateur motocross. As such, the event attracts many of the up-and-coming stars in the amateur scene. Past champions have included the likes of Cooper Webb, Jeremy Martin, Colt Nichols and Aaron Plessinger.

The Freestone Spring Championship represents some of the best amateur motocross riders and is a great opportunity to support the sport’s developing talent. 2016 marks the second year that Rocky Mountain ATV/MC has partnered with Freestone as a sponsor of the Spring Championship. It is proud to be the exclusive online retail sponsor of the event.

“We’re happy to be a sponsor of the Freestone Spring Championship,” said Dan Thomas, CEO and Founder of Rocky Mountain ATV/MC. “Supporting the sport is very important to us, and the Freestone Spring Championship is one of the best amateur motocross events out there. This is a great opportunity.”

In addition to supporting the event as a sponsor, Rocky Mountain ATV/MC will also provide one $10 gift card to each rider who races in at least one class. This is offered through the Race Gas program, which aims to help offset the cost of participating in events for amateur riders.

“It’s important for us to have partners like Rocky Mountain ATV/MC,” said Tom Shields, Event Director. “Any company can spend money to get their name out there with branding, but when Rocky Mountain wants to participate and interact with each and every rider, you know you have a partner and not just a sponsor.”

Online registration for the James Stewart Freestone Spring Championship is currently open until March 7. Please visit FreestoneMX.com for more details.
