Powersports racing took charge this past weekend as Bel-Ray backed teams and racers competed worldwide.
After his spectacular crash in Millville, MN just a week ago, TwoTwo Motorsports / Bel-Ray Racing’s Chad Reed came to the Pacific Northwest for the Washougal MX National. Beaten and bruised, Reed put on a valiant charge, but could only manage 7-4 moto finishes for 4th overall. Reed relinquished the red plate as the series points leader and slipped to 3rd in the standings, just 9 points out of the lead. Reed will take advantage of the break in the schedule to recover and come back charging on August 13 at the famous Unadilla racetrack in New Berlin, NY.
The Circuit de Ste-Julie in Quebec was the site of Round 6 of the CMRC National Championship this past weekend. The Kini / Red Bull / KTM / IMX / Bel-Ray Racing team of Kieran Leigh and Mason Phillips continued their consistent finishes for another weekend.  Phillips used 7-12 moto finishes to a 9th overall, while Leigh used 6-6- scores to finish 5th overall. Phillips is currently in 9th and Leigh moved up to 6th in the overall series standings. Bel-Ray Elite racer, Dakota Kessler, took the ride north from his New Jersey home to try his hand at Canadian Motocross. Kessler finished 12-19 for 16th overall.
Round 8 of the Rockstar Energy Drink Mx Nationals took place in Moree , NSW for the penultimate round of the series. The Bel-Ray backed Axis 07 racing team racers had great finishes for the weekend with Under19s racer, Dylan Peterson, earning a 10th overall, while Cody Mackie finished 4th and Keiron Hall finished 10th in the Pro Lites class.
