The biggest show in freestyle motocross took place this past weekend in Los Angeles, California  for X Games 17. Bel-Ray FMX athletes, Blake Williams, Adam Jones, Mike Mason and Carey Hart were all scheduled for action. Williams was unfortunately injured in practice prior to the event and could not compete but Bel-Ray’s other athlete stepped up and showed their skills.

On Friday night in the Staples Center, Adam Jones grabbed Bel-Ray’s first X Games medal of the weekend with the Silver Medal in Moto X Freestyle. Jones pulled off many big backflip tricks, including his new signature trick, the Rigor Mortis, on his way to a second place finish and the 5^th X Games medal in his career. Jones was a busy competitor for the weekend as he also competed in Freestyle Motocross Best Trick placing 6^th and the Speed and Style events where he was defeated in quarter finals action.

Speed and Style racing took place on Saturday night and Bel-Ray was again on the podium with a Silver Medal finish. After defeating Todd Potter in quarter finals racing and Carey Hart in the semi-finals, Mike Mason was up against Nate Adams for the gold medal round. Mason defeated Adams on speed, but lost by just 3 points in style, earning the Silver Medal. Hart defeated Jeremy Stenberg in quarter finals action but lost to Mason in semi-finals and ended his X Games comeback with a 4^th place finish.
