Bel-Ray Racers Score Top Results

in Indianapolis Supercross

FARMINGDALE, N.J. (March 18, 2013) ― Round 11 of the 2013 Monster Energy Supercross series took place on Saturday, March 16 in Indianapolis, Indiana for the Indianapolis Supercross. Bel-Ray-sponsored racers continued their positive results, with all four of Bel-Ray’s professional racers finishing inside the top 15.

Bel-Ray-sponsored Rockstar Racing team member Blake Wharton had an excellent beginning to his night of racing. He won his heat race and took the Nuclear Cowboyz holeshot at the start of the main event. Wharton rode a virtually flawless race for 14 laps of the 15-lap main event. A costly error in the whoop section put an end to Wharton’s excellent night. He lost his lead in a crash and got hung up on a tuff block, delaying his return to the race. A ninth-place finish at the checkered flag was his final result. He remains in third place in the series’ points standings.

Wharton’s teammate Davi Millsaps rebounded on Saturday night from two off races with less-than-ideal results. Like Wharton, Millsaps took advantage of the power Bel-Ray lubricants provides to take the Nuclear Cowboyz holeshot at the beginning of the main event. In second early during the race, Millsaps fell back to third a couple of laps in. He held that position until the final lap, when a tip-over in a corner allowed James Stewart by for third and left Millsaps in fourth at the checkered flag. Millsaps remains in second in the series’ points standings.

Bel-Ray-supported Team RCH member Broc Tickle started the main event at the opposite end from Millsaps. A first-turn incident broke his pinky finger and forced him to race through the field from the back of the pack. A methodical strategy allowed Tickle to work his way to an eventual 11th-place finish. With this finish, Tickle is in 10th place in the series’ points standings.

Tickle’s teammate Josh Hill continued his successful return to supercross with a season’s-best 12th-place finish. Hill sat out the last two seasons with injuries and has been making positive strides each weekend this season.

Both Rockstar Racing and RCH Racing teams rely on Bel-Ray lubricants to protect their machines and provide maximum power and protection of vital components.

Bel-Ray® Works Thumper® Racing  Synthetic Ester 4T Engine Oil is one of the products chosen by the teams to keep their machines performing their best.

Bel-Ray® Works Thumper® Racing  Synthetic Ester 4T Engine Oil is a 4-stroke synthetic motorcycle racing oil that has been developed for full-works competition use and is designed to withstand extreme racing conditions.
