They say motorcycle racing began the day the second motorcycle was created. Competition is the lifeblood of riding dirt bikes, and as pioneers of the sport, Husqvarna Motorcycles is proud to announce the coming of an all-new contingency program. This elite program will offer rewards to Husqvarna racers - both amateur and pro-level - in North America starting in 2015.

"Racing is a core value of Husqvarna Motorcycles," said Husqvarna Racing Manager, Andy Jefferson. "We believe in the value of supporting Husky racers not just at the factory level, but at the grassroots level, as well. Our new Husqvarna Contingency Program is aimed at doing just that, with rewards for motocross and off-road racers in the US and Canada. We're excited to get this program started on January 1, 2015, and looking forward to building a strong community of Husky racers in North America."

More specifics of the Husqvarna Contingency Program, which will be hosted through Hookit.com, will be announced in the coming months, including the races supported, eligibility and payout details. "We are really excited to introduce the Husqvarna Contingency Program," said Marketing Manager Steve Lawler. "This is a big step for us to once again be a big player in off-road and motocross racing. With our new structure and model lineup we feel confident that we will quickly become a prominent competitor in these racing segments. We have the most premium bikes available today and are excited to get back into high-level racing. We are committed to our engagement in factory racing with AMA Supercross and an expanded off-road effort."
