AMA Supercross Class Stats in Anaheim
The first race was held December 4, 1976, and Marty Smith won on a Honda.

This race marks the 53rd time the gate will drop for an AMA Supercross class race in Anaheim.

Since 2001 Anaheim has hosted three races, and only once have three different riders won main events. In 2002, David Vuillemin, Mike LaRocco and Ricky Carmichael won main events in Anaheim

Anaheim holds the record for most AMA Supercross class races

In 2007 James Stewart won all three races in Anaheim, and in 2008 Chad Reed won all three races.

In seven of nine years, the rider that has won two of the three races in Anaheim has gone on to wins the championship: James Stewart (’05, ’09); Chad Reed (’04, ’08); Ricky Carmichael (’03, ’05, ’06).

In 2001 Jeremy McGrath won two of the three races in Anaheim but lost the title to Carmichael.

In only seven seasons of AMA Supercross class racing, there have been four different winners in the first five races.

Since 1974, this is only the fifth time that Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, and Yamaha have all won AMA Supercross class races in the same season.

Josh Hill earned his fourth consecutive podium, and third consecutive runner-up finish.

Ivan Tedesco earned his first podium since St. Louis in 2007 when he finished third. .
