New Berlin, NY (June 1, 2016)- With
just a little over a week remaining until the kick off of the 2016
edition of Thor MX Rewind, Unadilla is pleased to announce the legends
line up. Twelve former racing legends will be attending Thor MX Rewind
at Unadilla on June 10-12, 2016.
Representing the early years of motocross racing will be Joe
Annunziata, Dick “King Richard” Burleson, and Barry Higgins. All three
of these riders raced at Unadilla in our beginning years.
In addition, four new racers representing the 1970s, 1980s and
1990s will be in attendance, including Todd DeHoop (early member of the
Michigan Mafia), Arlo Englund, Canadian Doug “The Sweeper” Hoover, and
one of the most versatile off-road racers ever, Rodney Smith.
Returning this year is popular legend Chuck Sun, the 1980 500cc
National Champion and member of the winning 1981 US Motocross and
Trophee des Nations teams. Also returning to thrill fans with their
riding and fan friendly natures are: John Dowd, Doug Henry (1993 and
1994 125cc National Champion and 1998 250cc National Champion), Trey
Jaworski, and Bruce Stratton.
“We have another great line up of legends for Thor MX Rewind” said
Unadilla’s Greg Robinson. “It’s hard to believe that we are celebrating
the 5th Anniversary of this great weekend of vintage racing. It’s
wonderful to have these outstanding legends with us to remember “the
good ole days”. Over the years we’ve heard and seen a lot of funny
moments from our legends. Our fans are always surprised at how
approachable the legends are and how easy it is to get that treasured
picture and autograph. To have them all in one place at the same time
reliving motocross history is simply priceless. Every decade of our
racing history is represented by one or more of these legends and each
one has more than one unique story to share. My sister and I couldn’t be
more thrilled or honored to have them all with us this year.”
The legends will be in attendance from Friday through Sunday taking
part in meet and greets, bench racing, racing, and the Saturday night
Gathering of Legends. Fans are encouraged to bring memorabilia they want
autographed and to strike up a conversation with any of the legends.

About Unadilla MX
Unadilla MX began promoting Motocross races at its current facility
in New Berlin, NY in 1969. Run by the Robinson Family since its
inception, Unadilla hosted the “Inter Am”, Trans Am, Trans USA, and
began hosting the 250cc U.S. Grand Prix in 1978. It was the first track
in the U.S. to host the prestigious MX des Nations in 1987, and has been
a stop on the American Pro National MX circuit since 1992. All
historically significant MX riders in the world have strapped on the
leather and kicked the lever at Unadilla.
