PICKERINGTON, OH – April 30, 2017 – On April 29, 2017, after the 250SX main event, a protest was filed with regards to an on-track incident involving rider #17 Joey Savatgy. After a complete review of the incident, including video and eyewitness accounts, it was determined by the Race Director that rider #17 did exit the track and re-enter in a different location. In doing so, rider #17 did gain positions and an advantage while cutting a section of the race track. This is in violation of rule 4.16.i.
4.16 On-Track Regulations i. A rider leaving the course may continue the race by properly re-entering the track at the closest safe point to where the rider left the course without gaining an advantage.
While off course, the rider may not accelerate in an unsafe manner.
If a rider accelerates in an unsafe manner while off course or cuts part of the race course, the rider may be determined to have gained an advantage without gaining a position.
It will be the duty of the Race Director or his designee to make the determination as to whether a rider gained an advantage by leaving the racecourse and re-entering.
The penalty for gaining an advantage while off course during a race will be the loss of number of positions gained plus one additional position in the final results for that race. If no positions were gained, the penalty will be the loss of one position in the final results for that race.
The penalty for gaining an advantage while off course during qualifying will be the loss of the rider’s fastest lap time during that session.
It was determined that by not re-entering the track in the lane where the rider left the track, he gained 4 positions and an advantage. As per the 2017 Monster Energy AMA Supercross an FIM World Championship rulebook, the penalty for this infraction is a loss of 5 positions in the final results.
An appeal was presented by the rider and an appeals hearing was convened. After reviewing all evidence presented by both parties it was determined by the appeals panel that the infraction did occur and the penalty was justified. The decision of the Race Director was confirmed. The decision of the appeals panel is final; no further appeal is possible.

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – April 30, 2017 – Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/KTM’s Jordon Smith put together a solid effort on a demanding track in the MetLife Stadium as the Eastern Regional 250SX riders faced their penultimate round. Smith’s crossed the line in fourth place, but after another rider was assessed a penalty, was awarded third-place result. That bump pushed him into the points lead with one round remaining. Teammate Alex Martin sat out the race in New Jersey and will likely return for the opening round of the Pro Motocross season.
After scoring third in his heat race, Smith was ready for the main event on a beautiful night in New Jersey. The No. 44 rider got off to a decent start but was stuck mid-pack and was having a tough time passing on the slippery track. About halfway he was able to get in a groove and moved forward from his eighth-place start, eventually working his way to finish just off the podium in fourth. After an assessed penalty to another rider, Smith was awarded the final podium position in third. When it was all said and done in New Jersey, Smith was awarded the coveted red plate with one round remaining.
“This track was tough tonight and hard to really get going on,” said Smith. “I felt really good and happy to at least pull it together at the end to make up some points in the championship. I’m excited for Vegas and what we might be able to do there. I know it’s basically a do or die situation with only a one point lead, but it feels great to be in the position for my team.”
The final race of the season will take place next weekend in Las Vegas with both regions racing their final rounds inside Sam Boyd Stadium. With one race left, all the riders have graced the podium this season and are hopeful to collect one more great result in Las Vegas.

DIAMOND BAR, CA – April 26, 2017 –Registration to attend the 2017 SEMA Show is now open at www.semashow.com/register. The annual trade show for the automotive aftermarket is set for Tuesday-Friday, Oct. 31-Nov. 3, 2017, in Las Vegas.
Registration is offered in three categories: attendee, exhibitor, and media.
Attendee: Distributors, retailers, installers, and buyers who will be meeting with exhibitors at the 2017 SEMA Show should register using the “attendee” link. Applicants may be required to submit proof of employment in the industry, and approved attendees who register before the early deadline in October will receive their badges in the mail.
The SEMA Show enables automotive specialty equipment manufacturers to debut products and connect with industry buyers from all over the world.

Red Bull High Point National Hosts East Coast Opener on June 17
MORGANTOWN, W. Va. (April 26, 2017) – One of the most iconic venues in American motocross will feature a dramatically new look this season as legendary High Point Raceway in Mt. Morris, Pennsylvania, underwent arguably its biggest makeover in four decades. The famed track, which straddles the Mason-Dixon Line on the border of Pennsylvania and West Virginia, will host the East Coast opener of the 2017 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship and Round 4 of the 12-race summer season with the Red Bull High Point National on June 17.
The High Point National recently celebrated its 40th anniversary, providing a fitting milestone to make both competitive and visual enhancements to the sprawling layout. While various levels of change have occurred at High Point since it opened in 1976, this year’s changes will arguably have the biggest impact. The entire start gate has been moved for the first time, resulting in a longer start straight that will be fairer for all 40 riders on the gate, and also safer as the field roars into the first turn. Additionally, the updated track design will utilize High Point’s natural valley setting better than ever before. This will result in the introduction of several new obstacles to challenge the riders, more elevation changes, and enhanced viewing lines for the fans all around the race track.
“High Point Raceway has been in a constant state of evolution since it hosted its first AMA MotocrossNational back in 1977. SALT LAKE CITY, UT – April 24, 2017 – A promising night that had the makings of a pair of strong finishes ended in disappointment for RCH/Yoshimura/Suzuki Factory Racing when Monster Energy Supercross, an FIM World Championship, made its return to Salt Lake City Saturday night.
Justin Bogle, rider of the No. 19 Suzuki RM-Z450, collected the holeshot at Round 15 and was racing inside the top five when his machine got away from him in the whoop section at Rice-Eccles Stadium, just prior to the halfway mark of the 450SX Class main event. Extensive damage forced Bogle to the mechanics area so his team could survey the damage and offer makeshift repairs, ultimately leaving him 21st in the final rundown.
“I just made a mistake in the whoops and it ended up costing us,” explained Bogle. “We had a great night going right up until that point. I qualified straight out of the heat, drilled the holeshot in the main event, and was running with the leaders until I went down. That’s just kind of how our season has gone. It’s a tough pill to swallow and I’m not making any excuses. We’ll just keep working hard and hope our luck swings back the other way.”
Bogle’s RCH teammate Broc Tickle, the senior member of RCH’s Suzuki RM Army, also qualified for the main event straight from his heat race and had a strong top 10 run going until an incident just before halfway eventually shuffled him back to 12th when the checkered flag waved.
Despite coming up two spots short of a top 10, Tickle held on to eighth in points where he paces veterans Dean Wilson and Chad Reed by nine with two races remaining on the 2017 schedule.
“Overall, it was a pretty good night but I would have really liked to get out of there with a better finish than 12th,” offered Tickle. “I had a good heat race and transferred straight into the main but I got a terrible start and had to try and catch up for the rest of the night. I was making my way forward but it didn’t work out like we hoped. We’ll go on to East Rutherford and Las Vegas and try and finish out the last two on a high note.”
Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, returns to New Jersey this weekend when the series visits MetLife Stadium. The 16th of 17 races on the 2017 Monster Energy Supercross calendar will be televised live on FOX Saturday, April 29 beginning at 5 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time, 2 p.m. Pacific.

Josh Toth Claims Fifth XC2 250 Pro Victory of the Season
SOCIETY HILL, S.C. (April 23, 2017) - The 2017 AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Series presented by Maxxis, an AMA National Championship, continued today, April 23, with the second annual CST Tires Camp Coker Bullet GNCC. At the conclusion of the seven-lap race it was FMF/KTM Factory Racing's Kailub Russell who took home the win in Society Hill, South Carolina.
Rockstar Energy/Factory Husqvarna Racing's Josh Strang jumped out to the early lead grabbing his third $250 All Balls Racing Holeshot Award of the year. N-Fab/AmPro Yamaha's Ricky Russell accompanied Strang as they headed out of the first turn.

Strang's teammate, Thad Duvall, also got off to a favorable start and made his way to the lead position by the two-mile mark. Duvall continued charging where he began to pull a gap on Strang and R Russell.
R Russell made the pass for second on the Camp Coker motocross track, and by this time K Russell wasn't far behind the podium contenders. Strang would also lose another position in the sand rollers to K Russell who was moving through the pack quick. By the conclusion of the second lap K Russell sat in second while Duvall maintained control of the lead.
Thad Duvall's ride at the CST Tires Camp Coker Bullet GNCC proved he's hungry for the top spot of the box.

Duvall and K Russell maintained a consistent 20 second gap between themselves on the second lap, while R Russell found himself in a heated battle with Beta USA's Jordan Ashburn. Before long, SRT/KTM's Steward Baylor also found himself in the mix with R Russell and Ashburn.
R Russell succumbd to the pressure of Ashburn in the final second of the moto track. With a semi-clear path, Ashburn began to separate himself from Baylor who now rode in fourth.
K Russell began to gain on Duvall around the mid-way point of the race after the dup both stopped for a regular pit stop. With much of the focus on Duvall and K Russell, Baylor managed to slide his way into a podium position and begin to make up for lost time.
Kailub Russell rode majority of the race in the runner-up position until the white flag lap.

Once the two-lap board was out, Duvall and K Russell were rubbing plastic as they approached the pro pits. K Russell made the pass for the lead, but pulled in his pit for a splash of gas, while Duvall neglected to stop where he took back over the lead.
With only four miles remaining in the race, K Russell stole the lead away from Duvall. After leading the past six laps, Duvall didn't stop the fight until disaster struck and he ran out of gas on the motocross track. A KTM crew member was quick to help Duvall and he was back on-track before Baylor could catch up.
Duvall rode the next mile until approaching his team members who gave him another quick fill up to get him through the rest of the course. After following Duvall the whole race, K Russell crossed the finish line in a champion fashion, taking his fourth-straight overall win. Duvall and Baylor rounded out the overall podium.
As a result of a rule violation, the overall results from today are provisional and pending approval of additional evidence. R Russell had his best finish of the season where he finished just off the podium in fourth. After getting the holeshot, Strang rounded out the top-five overall.
"It was a good day, I just wasn't flowing at the beginning, those guys gapped me in the first lap and a half and once I got to second I knew I was going to have my work cut out for me, but I just put my head down and kept charging," said K Russell. "I went to work all day, chipped away at it and never gave up. Thad was riding well so it's going to be an interesting rest of the season for sure. These guys are keeping me on my toes and making me strive a little harder so it's time to raise the bar again and it's time to get better."
Josh Toth had his work cut out for him, but the Yamaha rider rode away with his fifth-straight XC2 250 Pro class win in the Palmetto State.

The XC2 250 Pro division saw some of the closest racing action all day. In the end it would be the N-Fab/AmPro Yamaha rider Josh Toth taking his fifth win of the season. Solid Performance KTM's Jesse Groemm made his way back to the podium in second, and Coastal Racing/Husqvarna's Craig Delong worked his way from outside the top ten to round out the overall podium in third.
The FMF XC3 125 Pro-Am class podium had a shake-up with Jason Thomas taking the top spot on the box. Thomas excelled under pressure from Coastal Racing/Husqvarna and current points leader Jack Edmondson who had to settle for second. SRT/KTM's Mark Heresco Jr. followed in third.

Cody Barnes finished 23rd overall along with his 250 A class win, a result that was good enough to earn him the top amateur honors.
The WXC class made a clean sweep for the overall podium in the 10 a.m. race. Rocky Mountain ATV*MC/KR4/Husqvarna's Tayla Jones remains undefeated with five wins. Fly Racing/Maxxis/Seat Concepts/KTM's Becca Sheets and Trail Jesters/KTM's Mackenzie Tricker rounded out the overall podium.
The first race of the day was the 8 a.m. youth division where Zack Davidson took his fifth-straight overall win after chasing down Peyton Whipkey who finished second. Super Mini Jr. (12-13) class winner Michael Beeler Jr. followed with third overall.
The 1 p.m. race was broadcast LIVE in its entirety on RacerTV.com and can be viewed as an archived video now online by visiting the GNCC LIVE page online. A highlight show featuring the event will air Sunday, June 11, at 3 p.m.
After battling majority of the race with Peyton Whipkey, Zack Davidson returned to the box with another first overall.
