Race to Cure Breast Cancer at Steel City MX

Courtesy of MX Sports
After receiving an outpouring of support from the motocross community last season, the breast cancer fundraiser that supports the Philadelphia Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk will return to Steel City in 2009. As the world's best riders compete on the track for the coveted championships, the planet's most loyal and passionate fans will lend a helping hand to find a cure for breast cancer at the Steel City Motocross National, the series finale of the 2009 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship.

A variety of activities are scheduled for all in attendance at Steel City over Labor Day weekend. Fans will have the opportunity to go online and name the Philadelphia Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk Crew team of Cam Johnson, Pat Bonner, and Shasta Johnson as well as support the cause by wearing a limited edition Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship bracelet. Additionally, an auction and raffle will be held on race day, September 5, for a chance to win exclusive autographed motocross memorabilia donated by the supporters within the industry. The auction will take place during intermission and the raffle winners will be announced following the final moto of the day. Fans are encouraged to join the racers in a show of support and awareness by wearing pink on race day.
