Dana K to Take His Poker Winnings and Support a Deserving Privateer

From Wonder Warthog Racing

As you may have heard by now, the original benefactor to the privateers Dana K went deep into World Series of Poker. Dana ended up 620th out of thousand and thousands of players. And he represented the sport of Motocross well in an interview he did with ESPN. He praised the sport and The Warthog Racing Academy. And he has now committed a good portion of his winnings to support his favorite altruistic organization, Warthog Racing, plus one of their most deserving riders, Dennis Jonon. Dennis was ready to call it quits after Red Bud because he had flat run out of cash. Dana K to the rescue once again!! We love you Dana K!!! Forever and Always, with Eternal Hogs and Kisses. Yes sir . . .

And here is a little homage I put together for Dennis:

THE GREATEST MOTOCROSS STORY NEVER TOLD

Red Bud 2009 was one of the best days in modern day motocross, if for a single reason. Dennis Jonon scored his first AMA point after a monumental struggle lasting seven year to overcome a crippling injury, an injury that would have sidelined a lesser boy and now a man. It took a full seven years, from the age of 13, when Dennis battled for supremacy of the world with Mike Alessi, to rebuild Dennis Jonon into a competitive racer again. Dennis never gave up, as he had tasted what it was like to be the best rider he could be and that was good enough to make him an amazing phenom. He has been obsessed ever since with getting back what was in his grasp yet was somehow stolen by the fates. Life can be cruel and random. Dennis endured operation after operation, until finally Dennis Jonon was physically strong enough to attempt what he had long dreamt about. The Warthog Racing Academy has been proud to give him a home for his first real comeback attempt, one that was not doomed from the start by his physical limitations. Dennis' personal victory, a single AMA point for 20th place in the 450 class, has given me hope, that sometimes the honors are bestowed upon the most deserving, the hardest working, and one of the most courageous people I have ever known. Dennis Jonon it’s your time to take a bow . . .
