Blake Baggett was on another level in Salt Lake City. In heat one, he put the power to the ground and led the field to the first turn, taking the early lead. He then fell back a spot after a back-and-forth battle for the lead by Marvin Musquin. Blake didn't let up, keeping on the back tire of the #25 machine to finish 2nd. The gate dropped for the main event, and just like the heat race, Blake blasted out front of the field to grab the holeshot and the early lead. He slid back to 2nd as he lost the front end a few laps later, doing a handstand over the bars. He miraculously saved it, regrouped and kept his momentum forward. Not letting the pressure overtake him, Blake stayed focused and was rewarded with a 3rd place at the finish, his fourth podium of the season. With only one race left, Blake is now tied for 4th in the championship points.

“It was a good race,” said Baggett. “My starts were solid, and it felt good to grab that holeshot and to get back up on the podium. I'm ready for Vegas and to finish the season off strong with another podium.”

Benny Bloss Salt Lake City SX

Benny Bloss had one of his best overall rounds this season at Salt Lake City. He started his day off posting the 6th-fastest time of the day. He brought that speed into the heat race with a 4th-place ride. In the main event, Benny overcame an 18th-place start as he powered his way through the field and into the top ten. The Engine Ice-supported rider put in a solid ride and finished the night in 8th place.

“I rode well out there,” said Bloss. “Tonight was a big step in the right direction. My speed was there, and even though I had to work my way from the back of the field, I am excited about my ride. I am looking forward to Las Vegas and putting in another top-ten ride to end the season on a high note.”

Dakota Alix

In the 250SX class, Dakota Alix also had one of his best races this season. He had a solid heat race, where he battled to a 5th-place finish and a good gate pick for the main event. Dakota kept the momentum flowing in the main event, and he started inside the top ten. He continued to charge and, with his Dunlop tires giving him the perfect traction for the slick conditions, finished the night in 7th place.

After sixteen rounds, Team Rocky Mountain ATV/MC-KTM-WPS will travel south to Las Vegas, NV, for the season finale of the 2018 Monster Energy Supercross Series.
