Madera, CA (May 5, 2018) – The 2018 Monster Energy AMA Supercross series capped off its 18 round tour last night in Las Vegas Nevada, at Sam Boyd Stadium. For H.E.P. Motorsports the weekend was a great ending to a eventual season. One team highlight from this past weekend was French National rider Cedric Soubeyras finishing in 14th in the 450 main event finals.

The weekend started out Friday for press, with riders Cunningham, and Soubeyras participating in the top 20 in points all road in front of various national, local, and race media outlets. The night continued at Ride Now Powersports, where all five riders met with fans, signed autographs and promoted the sponsors that make H.E.P. Motorsports.

Rider Key Takeaways-

Kyle Cunningham: Coming off a eventful past two weeks, with a DNF after a nasty crash in Boston, to following it up with his best finish of the year in 12th in Salt Lake, Utah. Cunningham came into Vegas ready to break the top ten. The night started off very strong, easily qualifying into the show, and getting off to a good start in heat 1, Kyle finished in 9th. When the main event came around we saw Kyle jump out to a great start, riding in the top 15. Charging the field and leaving it all on the track, Kyle found himself down hard in the whoops. This crash ended his night and put a cap on a great season. Cunningham finished the season 19th in points. Look for Kyle to build on his impressive performance in his second year on a 450.

Henry Miller: The night didn’t start the way we would have liked it to for Henry. Getting off to a rough start in heat 1, he found himself in the back of the pack with the transfer spot 11 riders ahead of him. Miller road with grit and tenacity, not giving up picking off riders one section at a time. When the checkered flag started waiving Henry found himself in 10th. Forced to race the LCQ, Miller got a great jump off the gate propelling himself into the top 4 as the race progressed, he was able to move up two spots into 2nd where he finished the race. In the main event, we saw Henry ride like a pro finishing the race inside the top 20 in 16th place.

Dustin Pipes: The night started with high optimism for Pipes, easily qualifying into the show in 29th. In heat 1 we saw him get a rough start that really tacked the odds against him, however he did not falter racing with resiliency he was able to move up into 16th place where he finished out the heat. In the LCQ, we saw Dustin get an aggressive start only to get pinched off in the first turn. In similar circumstances as he was in heat 1, Pipes raced like a professional climbing the field into 13th place where he finished out the night.

Tallon LaFountaine: The 250 East and the 250 West clashed this weekend in Vegas, bringing the best talent this class has to offer all under one roof, the field was jam packed with talent. Tallon missed qualifying into the show by one spot, ultimately ending his season.

Cedric Soubeyras: Firing on all cylinders the past few weeks as the season comes to an end, Soubeyras kept the ball rolling this past weekend. Easily qualifying into the night show in 17th. In his heat race, we saw Cedric get out to the start he’s capable of, propelling him into the top ten, he finished out his heat in 8th place. The main event brought us different circumstances, he didn’t get the start he wanted forcing him to the back of the pack. Soubeyras adapted quickly charging the field and picking off riders one lap at a time. When the night finally came to an end Cedric found himself in 14th place and 22nd in points.

H.E.P. Motorsports capped off the 2018 Monster Energy AMA Supercross series in style sending three riders into the main event and having two riders place high in points. Despite coming on late, midway through the season in Tampa, Cedric Soubeyras finished 22nd in points. Kyle Cunningham finished his first 450 season inside the top 20, 19th overall. None of this would have been possible if wasn’t for the constant support of our fans and sponsors. On behalf of all of us here at H.E.P. Motorsports, we thank you for your support.
