Give Blood...Rider Down Foundation Blood Drive

Got Blood?

EVERGREEN, CO (May 13, 2010) – Motocross racers and their fans are being asked
to help boost the Nation’s blood supply.  The RiderDown Foundation is kicking off it’s
first annual RDF Blood Drive in Memory of Fallen Riders at Freestone County Raceway
on June 5th when the Outdoor National Motocross Series comes to Texas.  The good
folks from CarterBloodCare.org will be on hand with a crew of professionals to make it
easy on you.  Please spread the word and bring a friend.  We all know how important it
is to have an adequate supply of blood on hand when it’s needed.

Tony Miller, owner of Freestone County Raceway and FreestoneMX.com has been a
valued supporter of the RiderDown Foundation for years now and did not hesitate when
the idea first came up to begin the Blood Drive at his track.  “This is a great idea and it’s
nice to see the riding community step up for good causes like this.” says Tony, “We’re
proud to be part of this nationwide effort and glad to give it the holeshot here in Texas.”
Please visit www.freestonemx.com for details on the track and the race series.  Stop by
the RiderDown Booth on Saturday, June 5th at the track to donate or for more info on
how you can help.  There will also be some special items on display and available as a
part of RDF’s ongoing fundraising efforts, including a custom painted helmet, rider
jerseys, etc..

The RiderDown Foundation, whose mission is to help injured off-road riders is sponsoring a
nationwide, week-long blood drive.   The dates for this first annual blood drive are June 7-11,
2010.  People wishing to donate blood in the memory of their fallen friends and fellow riders
can find their local blood center by visiting RiderDown’s website at www.riderdown.org and
look for the thread “RDF Blood Drive in Memory of Fallen Riders - HELP!”   We encourage
anyone who rides, has children or friends that ride to take a few minutes out of their week to
stop at their local blood center to give blood.   You never know, the blood you give may save
the life of a friend or loved one!
