Murrieta, CA - KTM Motorsports and Jägermeister are proud to announce the start of a partnership that lists the number one selling imported liqueur in America as the title sponsor of the 2010 motocross team.

KTM and Jägermeister first began their relationship in 2009 as Jägermeister stepped up as a corporate sponsor for the MDK/KTM Factory Team. "Besides the obvious answer that the corporate company colors match well, there are many reasons we are proud to extend our relationship with Jägermeister. Top on the list being the demographic of their customers and their enthusiasm for keeping the sport of motocross alive while supporting the lifestyle of our main enthusiasts," commented KTM President Jon-Erik Burleson.

For 2010 KTM will focus on the motocross series. The new team created from the KTM and Jägermeister partnership will be appropriately titled as the Jägermeister/KTM Factory Racing Team which will debut with sole team rider Mike Alessi in May of 2010 under leadership from Team Manager Casey Lytle.

"KTM is taking a direction opposite of the competition - a motocross only team for 2010," remarked Lytle. "Jägermeister is the most fitting sponsor for the direction that KTM would like to take in the motocross community. KTM's direction is to focus on interacting with our customers on all levels. Together KTM and Jägermeister have laid out plans for multiple events in the coming year that will focus around motocross riding with active involvement from our customers."

Alessi's dare-devil approach to motocross riding and constant interaction with his fans goes hand-in-hand with the lifestyle of Jägermeister consumers. "From music tours to trikes and Jagerettes to tap machines, Jägermeister continuously seeks new and innovative ways to integrate the brand into our consumer's lifestyle," stated Bill Henderson, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Advertising at Sidney Frank Importing Company, Inc. "We are excited to continue building momentum with the KTM partnership and our increasing participation in the motocross arena."

The first event will be the kick off of the Jägermeister and KTM relationship at the Jägermeister/KTM Christmas Party to be held Friday, December 11, 2009 at Pala Raceway. This Christmas celebration is sure to be a hit. While all enthusiasts are invited out, all KTM riders will receive special treatment with a pass to ride FREE for the day if they show up with their KTM. Jägermeister will bring a live band and the celebration for the holiday and this great relationship will take off.
