January 12, 2010 - Woodcliff Lake, NJ - Husqvarna Motorcycles North America (HMNA) and its Southern California Dealer Network will be offering demo rides on select 2010 model Husqvarnas during the opening round of the AMA National Hare & Hound Series on Saturday Jan 23rd in Lucerne Valley, CA. This is your chance to ride the legendary machines that have taken Husqvarna racers to more than 74 World Championships (not to mention Nick Burson to #1 in D-37 Open Class Desert Competition).

"This is an exciting opportunity for anyone in the market for a new motorcycle to experience all that Husqvarna has to offer," said Travis Flowers of Husqvarna Motorcycles NA. The Husqvarna Lucerne Valley Demo event takes place from 9am to 3pm on Jan. 23, 2010 -- one day before the Desert MC National Hare & Hound. A special demo ride course will be setup by Husqvarna staff. This is a great chance to enjoy some bench racing, riding and just hanging out with people who truly love the sport. Demos will be based out of the Zip-Ty Racing Transporter located in the main pit area. "Come on out and be a part of the fun," Flowers concludes. "You won't regret it!"

FMF Indoor Motocross Winter Series Opens This Week in North Carolina

Riders throughout the southeast will continue a tradition this weekend (Nov 27-28) as they pack up the leftover turkey and head out to the opening event of the 2009-2010 FMF Indoor MX Winter Series. The WNC Ag Center in Fletcher (Asheville), NC is host to this weekend’s event, which will feature 34 classes of riders on bikes and ATVs.

Since 1992 this AMA sanctioned event has featured bar-to-bar racing between some of the nations up and coming pros as well as fast amateur riders. The event is arenacross racing in tight quarters, which makes for a super exciting show. Four year old pee-wees on the tiny bikes to the pros it will an action packed event. Last year there were 39 pro riders in each class, which qualified down to the best 15 for the main event. The spectators got their money’s worth as Zach Osborne, Tyler Bright, Robbie Horton, Jim Chester, Joshua Thomas, and Jim Neese battled for the win. Osborne took the win, but it was Horton who hung tough and won the series championship.

It will be two full days of racing with a full program each day. Practice is at 12:00 noon and the main events are at 7:00pm both days.
