BLUFFDALE, Utah - OGIO International focused a lot of time this year not only designing innovative bags and gear but also building a team of moto riders to dominate events such as this weekend's X Games in Los Angeles. Mission accomplished, as OGIO's riders posted huge wins and dominated the medals podium.

OGIO Moto riders captured eight medals in MOTO X including: Travis Pastrana, Nate Adams, Ronnie Renner, Robbie Maddison, Jarryd McNeil, and John Hansen. "We are blown away at how successful our entire team of OGIO athletes was at the X Games who captured a total of 15 medals in Moto FMX, BMX and Skate commented Mark Kuryak, the company’s global vice president of Action/Professional/Sport divisions. "Event coverage was awesome, as was the incredible story that aired about Travis Pastrana granting the dream ride of a lifetime for a young man battling cancer. The search is on for undiscovered FMX talent to compete alongside the world’s best riders

Santa Monica, Calif. (November 3, 2009) – The 2010 Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour will kick-start its fourth season in February at the Red Bull Compound, an exclusive, private training facility located deep in the mountains north of Los Angeles. For the first time in the history of Red Bull X-Fighters, riders will have to battle it out and earn their spots in the world’s most prestigious freestyle motocross series at the official Ranking Session.

Only the top four athletes from the 2009 season automatically qualified for the 2010 World Tour, leaving six spots up for grabs. The secured spots go to 2009 champion Nate Adams (USA), Robbie Maddison (AUS), Eigo Sato (JPN) and Mat Rebeaud (SUI). The Red Bull X-Fighters Ranking Session will be held at the Red Bull Compound between February 2 and February 10, where the greatest collection of the world’s best FMX athletes will battle it out for the additional six coveted spots on the World Tour.

GLOBAL TALENT MEETS (LEGIT) YOUTUBE TALENT

Only 30 riders will be selected to participate in the Ranking Session. If you have not previously competed in a Red Bull X-Fighters, Dew Tour or X Games event and think you have what it takes to hang with the best FMX athletes in the world, submit a 90-second video of your best performance to www.redbullxfighters.com by December 1, 2009.

“I'm excited about being invited to compete in the Red Bull X-Fighters championship again in 2010,” said Maddison. “X-Fighters has the best riders in the world throwing down the gnarliest runs in the most amazing locations around the world. I know the level will be higher again this year, so I'm busy learning fresh stuff for the new comp season.”

The world’s premier, most-progressive freestyle motocross series demands a high degree of skill, as indicated by the minimum requirement needed to qualify for the Ranking Session: “You’ll need to have at least one backflip combination in your portfolio,” said Tour Director Tes Sewell.

Another new milestone for the 2010 Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour will include two wildcard entries at each stop to complete the field of the tour, which will start in April and run to September at spectacular, iconic locations across the globe, which will be announced shortly.

Courage, talent and self-confidence are the key ingredients, as 17-year-old Levi Sherwood of New Zealand demonstrated last year. After defending champion Mat Rebeaud was sidelined with an injury, he discovered the talented young Kiwi rider, and Sherwood, now known as the “Rubber Kid,” paid Rebeaud back by knocking him out of the competition a few days later on his way to winning the 2009 season opener in Mexico City.

2009 Red Bull: New Year. No Limits. to feature Travis Pastrana

This New Year's Eve, action sports icon and rally champion, Travis Pastrana, will star in Red Bull: New Year. No Limits., live on ESPN. Travis will attempt to shatter the world record for distance jumping in a car, at a location in Los Angeles to be announced shortly. He will follow in the footsteps of fellow motorsports athletes Robbie Maddison and Rhys Millen, who rang in the last two New Year's Eve celebrations by pushing their physical, mental and technical limits to break boundaries and records, in front of thousands of fans in Las Vegas and millions of viewers on ESPN.

Pastrana has captured three Rally America championships, won nine X Games gold medals and was the first person to ever successfully complete a double backflip on a motorcycle. On December 31, he will look to add yet another incredible achievement to his storied career.

RONNIE RECORD: MOTOCROSS STAR RONNIE RENNER BREAKS BIG AIR WORLD RECORD AT RED BULL HIGH RISE

CHICAGO, IL (July 25, 2009) – Unparalleled insanity met high hopes in the friendly confines of Chicago’s Butler Field at Grant Park as professional motocross athlete Ronnie Renner broke his own Guinness World Record for highest motorcycle jump off a quarterpipe. Thousands of excited fans from all over the Midwest huddled together in anticipation and watched as Renner fearlessly approached the imposing ramp, which featured Chicago’s world famous skyline as the backdrop. On his third attempt, Renner launched himself an astounding 63 feet 5 inches above the ground, eclipsing the record he set a year ago.

“It’s been crazy. I’m so pumped to have done it,” said Renner after his jumps. “What a killer vibe! All these people coming out to see me and they were psyched. I could hear the crowd cheering.”

Guinness World Records certified Renner’s highest jump, which was officially measured from the top of the 22-foot-tall quarterpipe, as 41 feet 5 inches from the top of the ramp (63 feet 5 inches high, total).

“I was super excited to come but didn’t really know what to expect,” said Lindsey Marlow, a fan. “I’ve seen a lot of motocross events, but Ronnie’s jump was amazing!”

Immediately following Red Bull High Rise, Renner jumped on a yacht to be a part of Chicago’s 52 ^nd Annual Venetian Night as the last boat of the evening. Adding his usual touch, he played air guitar as he sailed down Lake Michigan. During Renner’s time in Chicago, he witnessed both a White Sox and Cubs game, priding himself on being a non-biased fan. Unfortunately, he missed the Mark Buehrle’s perfect game by a day.

Ronnie set his initial world record in 2008 on the Santa Monica Pier by jumping 59’2” above the ground. After that jump, he knew he could go higher, and under an ominous Chicago sky, he did. When asked what he planned to do next, Renner stated, “Between myself and Red Bull, we’re bound to come up with something crazy.”

Renner is a respected freestyle motocross veteran whose credentials include a gold medal in Moto X Step Up at the 2007 Summer X Games, and the Step Up world record. He will participate in the X Games next weekend, competing in the Moto X Step Up and Best Whip events.

Renner’s jump completed yet another amazing chapter of world-firsts, following the record-shattering performances of fellow motocross sensation Robbie Maddison and BMX star Kevin Robinson. Maddison jumped the length of a football field in front of thousands on New Year’s Eve 2007, clearing 322 feet in Las Vegas. Last June, Robinson soared 27 feet above the lip of a huge quarterpipe (54 feet above the ground) in New York’s Central Park to set the BMX big air world record.

Freestyle motocross star Robbie Maddison took a sleeping London by surprise last night as he performed a spectacular backflip over an open Tower Bridge in the British capital. The 27-year-old Australian took to the air at 2:55 a.m. and soared nearly one hundred feet over the Thames River.

LONDON, July 13, 2009 - The early hours of Monday morning saw Maddison become the first rider in history to take on Tower Bridge on a motorbike. The Australian used the famous London landmark as a take-off and landing ramp as he cleared the gap above the Thames River after the iconic bridge had been raised. With an approach speed of approximately 40 mph, Maddison took off from the north side of the bridge, performed a no-handed backflip, and held his landing in front of the south tower of one of the world’s most famous landmarks.

Maddison joined forces with Red Bull once again to make his UK dream a reality, having already chalked up the world’s longest ever motorbike jump (350 feet), and the highest ever vertical ‘step up’ at the replica Arc de Triomphe in Las Vegas on New Year’s Eve 2008, along with a drop of more than 85 feet down to a landing ramp below.

Maddison said: “The whole experience was awesome. Since the jumps in Las Vegas I’ve been set on doing something special here in London so the Red Bull team and I have been secretly scoping out Tower Bridge for months. We had a matter of minutes on the bridge and had to time everything to the second, there were so many factors to get right, but we pulled it off.

People say I’m crazy, but I just want to push the boundaries of my sport and my body to the limit and I love taking on these huge challenges. It was an incredible feeling to fly between the two towers and over the Thames.”

Maddison will return to London on August 22 to take part in the final stop of the Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour 2009 at Battersea Power Station. He won the Calgary stop of the series in May.

The 2009 Red Bull X-Fighters Texas event will air this Sunday, July 19, at 1:30 p.m. ET / 10:30 a.m. PT on ABC, immediately following the British Open.

The Windy City will watch as Renner attempts to break his own Guinness World Record for the highest air ever attained on a motorcycle at Red Bull High Rise. He will go sky-high at Butler Field prior to Chicago’s annual Venetian Night, adding a new spin to an old tradition.

Renner is a respected freestyle motocross veteran whose credentials include a gold medal in Step-Up at the 2007 Summer X Games and the Step-Up world record. He set his original quarterpipe big air world record by jumping an amazing 59 feet, 2 inches in July, 2008. In 2009, he will attempt to beat this record by launching sky-high onto a massive custom-built steel landing ramp measuring 64 feet wide and 30 feet tall.

Why Chicago? Why not? “While I was thrilled with being able to set the initial world record last year, I know I can push myself to achieve a better height, and Chicago is one of the best places to be in the summer,” said Renner. “Plus it added another component to my training regimen – I need to train my stomach to prepare for Chicago cuisine; especially the deep dish pizza!”

Renner has been training at the exclusive Red Bull Compound in Southern California in preparation for his big night on a modular quarterpipe built specifically for him. In addition to Renner’s world record attempt, the evening kicks off at 7:45 p.m. with the Chicago Fire Department's Air/Sea Rescue re-enactment. Immediately following at 8:15 p.m. the boat parade begins, culminating with a spectacular fireworks display at 9:00 p.m. People of all ages begin to stake out spots along the lakefront in the early morning to ensure a good view of this popular event.
