Monster Energy Kawasaki Goes Social

Irvine, Calif. - Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing will utilize the popular social media sites Facebook and Twitter to give green fans a place to get quick results for Kawasaki riders, behind the scenes photos, and special messages and offers Kawasaki racing fans. The first postings are scheduled to start during the Anaheim 1 supercross on January 9.

The Twitter site will be updated frequently on race days from supercross and motocross events, along with select off-road, amateur motocross, and drag race events. Fans, whether at the race or at home, have a chance to monitor their favorite Kawasaki riders immediately following practice, heat races, and main events.

The Facebook page will post upcoming race activities, including dealer appearances and special events. The page also allows the fan to post their own photos of racing events in the racing gallery and communicate to other fans on the home wall.

How the contest works:

• Videos will be ranked according to a score, which considers Twitter messages sent through the video's page on the contest site, Facebook shares of the video's page on the contest site, and YouTube views of the video.

Grand prize winner will be announced at the conclusion of the contest on February 28th, 2010.

As always, all three first motos will be broadcast live on Allisports.com starting at 1:00 p.m. ET. The 250 class will run first, followed by the 450s, and then the WMX.

Motocross will make it's NBC debut at 4:30 p.m. ET with Jason Weigandt, David Bailey, and special guest Ricky Carmichael in the booth. The first 450 moto will show during the first 30 minutes, followed by the live second moto at 5:00.
