Adam Jones and Libor Podmol Invited to Semifinals

Los Angeles, CA – With the 2017 Nitro World Games FMX qualifiers done and dusted, the FMX semifinals roster is beginning to take shape. Defending champion Levi Sherwood has some stiff competition this year, all of whom are looking to steal the top spot. Judging by the talent heading into semifinals, it’s anyone’s game. This year’s Freestyle Motocross event will task riders with proving they are well rounded and versatile FMX athletes. Each competitor will be required to attempt eight tricks in succession, in eight designated categories, all during a single run. The rider who receives the highest cumulative score in the final round will be the winner of the event and crowned FMX champion.

To add a little fire to the mix, event organizers now have awarded two athletes Wild Card invitations to compete at this year’s Nitro World Games. Veteran Adam Jones, who was a favored contender last year yet narrowly missed making the podium, now has a chance at redemption. High-flying and tenacious Libor Podmol will join him in the semifinal round.
