Support Your ISDE Team

Press Release from
Hacienda Heights, CA - The ISDE (International Six Days Enduro) is one of the oldest off road motorcycle races on the planet. Some may not have heard of this race but it is the Motocross des Nations of the off road world. Each country sends a team to represent their respected nation. This year the United States will be sending Destry Abbott, Kurt Caselli, Ricky Dietrich, Damon Huffman, Nathan Kanney and Timmy Weigand to represent the United State of America.

Since the ISDE is not in the spot light like the Motocross De Nations, each rider has to come up with the money to get himself, his mechanic and the bike to the race. The 2009 ISDE will be help in Portugal. In order to get to Portugal, Timmy Weigand has teamed up with PanicRev Ministries to put on a ride day at Milestone MX Park on August 18, 2009. The ride day will start at 8am and end at 2pm. It will be $30 to ride and riders will not need a Milestone membership (the vet track and the national track will be connected like on Wednesday), 100% of the money raised will go towards Timmy Weigand and the United States ISDE race team. Come out and join us for a day of riding, a FREE BBQ, a raffle with some insane prizes, and an ebay auction that will provide some ridiculous rider memorabilia.

Mark your calendars for August 18, 2009 to show your support of your ISDE team by helping Timmy get to Portugal at Milestone MX Park!

Also Truth Soul Armor is coming on board to help Timmy out as well. Check out all of the rad clothing Truth ( www.truthsoularmor.com ) has, and put in this promo code “HELPTIMMY” (in all caps) to receive 15% off the product and 35% of the money made will go to helping Timmy.

American Freestyle Motocross Association Established

Press Release from AFXMA

Athletes and Action Sports Leaders Take Proactive Role in Promoting Safety Regulations and Cultivating Overall Growth in Freestyle Motocross and Affiliated Events

Irvine, CA - The American Freestyle Motocross Association (AFMXA), a collective of Freestyle Motocross riders and action sports industry leaders, today announced its official launch as an organization established to manage, protect and develop the sport of freestyle motocross at both the professional and recreational levels. Inspired in memory of American freestyle rider, X Games gold medalist and Metal Mulisha team member, Jeremy Lusk, the AFMXA is dedicated to improving rider safety, preparation and education through programs and services that will assist athletes in improving their skills and experience in the sport. Additionally, the Association is committed to increasing awareness around medical treatment, emergency response planning and training at events worldwide.

With interest from recreational riders, corporate partners and action sports companies around the globe, the AFMXA was organized in an effort to create a unified voice at all sanctioned and non-sanctioned freestyle motocross events, parks, facilities and demonstrations; and implement a safer environment for athletes. The Association will encourage neck braces for riders; report on standards for suitable weather conditions and proper ramp landings at events; assist with providing trained on-site and on-call medical assistance; and prepare safety policies and emergency response plans. In addition to providing guidelines for safer practices, the AFMXA will host an annual awards ceremony to recognize top athletes and companies for their accomplishments and influence on the sport.

The Association's advisory board consists of prominent figures in the action sports and medical industries, including Metal Mulisha founder and most decorated Freestyle Motocross rider in X Games history, Brian Deegan; CEO of La Jolla Group, Toby Bost; ESPN's Lizz Leach; Ryan Hagy, Cameron Steele, Dr. Pete Katsyiannis, and Dr. Gus Gialamas, among others.

"With the tragic death of Jeremy Lusk, it became clear that this sport, which has grown significantly over the last few years, needed an Association to develop and oversee stricter safety guidelines," said Toby Bost. "The AFMXA works to define racing rules and evolve the sport for athletes and supporters. As corporate sponsors, it's our responsibility to do more than just put our product on riders. We need to be activists for the industry as a whole -- and that means being proactively involved in establishing processes that enable freestyle moto to keep growing."

"The AFMXA is the voice of all freestyle riders and the time has come for us to properly organize our sport -- it starts with safety," commented Brian Deegan. "It's also about time that athletes and industry leaders are recognized for their achievements and dedication. I look forward to the positive changes this Association and its members are going to make for freestyle motocross."

Earlier this year, the Lusk Legacy Foundation was established to help improve overall safety in the sport, protect the livelihoods of riders and their families, and provide them with legal, medical and financial consultation and representation. The Lusk Legacy Foundation has been named the official charitable organization for the AFMXA.

On July 30th at 5pm PST, ESPN will broadcast a special presentation on Jeremy Lusk and the AFMXA. For further information, visit www.afmxa.com.

National Enduro Series - 8th round Blain, PA

Press Release from Ktm Racing

Shock Doctor/KTM Factory rider Mike Lafferty continued his come back win streak at the eighth round of the National Enduro Series when he took the win over his teammate Russell Bobbitt.

In an impressive ride, Lafferty managed to win each special test. "It definitely wasn't easy today and Russell (Bobbitt) certainly gave me a run for my money. This win is special to me because I consider this round a hometown race for me and I had many family members come out and support me today." Not only did Lafferty have family members to support him during the race. But his brothers, Jack and Rich along with his father all suited up and raced as well.

The riders will now enjoy a three week break before the series returns for the ninth round to be held in Marquette, MI.

Unadilla AMA Pro National Goes Retro for 2009

Press Release from Alli Sports
MORGANTOWN, W.V. - Since 1969, Unadilla has been a track synonymous with motocross. The famed facility hosted its first AMA Pro Motocross national in 1972 and ever since, Unadilla has stayed true to its roots and remains one of the most unique and challenging tracks in the world. As the oldest track on the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Schedule, New Berlin, New York's historical gem has been the site of many legendary racing moments, as well as some of the most exciting races in series history.

To celebrate the track's 40th Anniversary, MX Sports Pro Racing has announced that this
summer's event will have a "Retro" theme during the August 15th event.

Everyone is invited to participate in the retro theme and is encouraged to wear something that celebrates the history of American Motocross from a bygone era. In the spirit of the old school, riders will don throwback-designed gear, reflecting the various styles, colors and patterns of the past 40 years of motocross as they fly in and out of the infamous Gravity Cavity.

While the sport has evolved, Unadilla takes pride in maintaining the heritage that makes it such an outstanding layout. Long, steep hills, natural tabletops, deep ruts and scattered rocks line the track, which gives it the unique character riders and fans enjoy.

All fans in attendance at the Unadilla Pro National are also encouraged to immerse themselves in the retro atmosphere by wearing old school gear of their own like vintage motocross apparel and the same bright colors that made the sport stand out throughout the 80's and 90's.

Vintage bikes will be on display in the pits and a number of special guests will be in attendance sharing their memories of Unadilla. Additionally, a number of special events are in store for Retro Day and details will be announced as the race approaches. To purchase tickets to this must see event, log onto www.allisports.com.

Motion Pro Professional Tire Gauge

Press Release fromMotion Pro

Motion Pro Professional Tire Gauge

The Motion Pro Professional Tire Gauge sets itself apart from other gauges with high quality components, excellent accuracy and a superior ergonomic design. It is THE gauge to have for mechanics and riders who are looking for the highest performance and reliability.

We started with a high-quality 2.5” liquid filled lab-quality gauge for accuracy and precision. The liquid in the gauge helps to protect the precision gauge from shocks and rapid pressure spikes. We then added a heavy duty rubber boot to help protect the gauge even further, and mounted it in a billet aluminum ergonomic body with integrated pressure release valve to make it easy to handle and light. The heavy-duty, double swivel hose prevents hose twist and is capped with a high quality plated brass air chuck, making pressure checks and adjustments quick and easy.

Motion Pro tested the Professional Tire Gauge for two years in professional Supercross and Supermoto racing where they were used under the most demanding conditions, and proved their performance, durability and accuracy.
